Quarrel over air conditioner

I'm predominantly office based now, but trust me, climate control worries in an office beats 2am in the snow whilst wrestling with an IBC at risk of overpressurising and covering you in hot acid.

If it's hot enough outside to make you need to reduce the temperature inside it's no use opening the windows. If the air conditioner's on you should keep doors
and windows closed. I live in Melbourne where the temperature during the day can range from 10c to 40+c and I have my aircon set to an ambient 20c.
That's if I have it on at all, which I only do when it's very hot or very cold.

Do you fight with your collegues over the degree of the air conditioner or whether to turn it on or off (rather windows etc) It happens constantly to us, mostly girls object saying it has become too cold now, so that only 25C or smth is tolerable, a lower degree well then they hate it and protest. It is not real fighting obviously, jokingly but still they mean it and go get the remote control lol

How is in your office?
Well known fact that women don't have a properly functioning internal thermostat.
They only have 2 temps;
'Whiney too hot'
and
'Whiney too cold'

Never worked in a office but have done lots of work in offices and the people who work in them i have noticed complain and have domestics over the slightest things
the best thing to do is put screens up it quietens them down like putting a blanket over a budgie cage

I share an office with a fella and a woman. Us lads like it 20 degrees. She wants it warmer ??...she wears a jumper !!! Damn straight !!!

Air conditioner power consumption is killing the planet you bad mefs. Just be uncomfortable once in a while.

And in the winter, women, bugger fashion wear another layer, be active and lay off the thermostat.
read in true teacher style …. !

The problem is some people don't understand how air con works. Putting it on the lowest setting when it's hot, getting too cold so either turning it off or putting it on a much higher setting, and repeat.

Or opening the windows when it's on as well

Then the AC freezes and breaks, causing a leak the next day.

Not having a go, people need to be taught how AC works.
