Great day of togger with two games featuring traditional (and similarly performing) rivals . Excellent results for Man U and Everton in vanquishing their respective peers 2-1

A little lost with some people, surely winning dirty and having to work hard is a big positive.
QPR had a game plan and we had to be resolute, when we had to throw bodies in front of shots we did, the two centre halfs had to deal with a lot of balls thrown into the box. Our forwards give us out balls.
People have asked for us to be direct, We have against Newcastle and QPR. The ball has gone forward into space, and forwards have had to work harder in running into that space

Just take the win and take it winning dirty is a positive

I maybe wrong but RM maybe reluctantly realising we have to have a plan B, and play to our strengths

I am overjoyed with the result

Martinez done his presser yet ?
yes a little bit of it,below

Martinez: "We had to cope with QPR's threat and had guts to show a strong will to win. Our character was immense."

Martinez: "Today was a vital win. There are eight games left and 24 points to play for. We want to finish the season strongly

Martinez reveals Kone will have a scan on his knee in the next 48 hours and hopes Lukaku's problem is just cramp and fatigue

Everton manager Roberto Martinez on his side's much-improved defensive display:
"The back four were excellent, especially Phil Jagielka. It was the most impressive performance by captain when it was most needed."

Cheers.

Important because we need the points. A position we shouldn't even be in ffs!!!!

totally agree. but the past is the past. today was a big win regardless of how we performed. that was the only point i was trying to make tbh. get howard shipped off and get a competant keeper in and we're already about 15 points better off next season i would say. he's been genuinely that bad - just hope to god martinis has opened his eyes.
