Garbutt needs to sign the contract....he needs to be played for that to happen I think.

Baines is a shadow of himself. I would play Garbutt to the end of the season. It probably won't get him to sign but whatever harm it might do is worth the risk.

Strewth. I only watched the second half but it was truly dreadful. Ragged defending, one loose ball after another conceded to the opposition..... wtf do players pass from deep when it's only a 50-50 ball, instead of slowing the game down and making an opening before the pass when they aren't being pressed??!!! So many times we are conceding possession from midfield too, and then putting the defence under unnecessary pressure. We were very lucky imo to come away with three points there, but at least that starts to take us comfortably away from the relegation battle. We really need some quality in the midfield next summer that can hold a ball up and run at the opposition without conceding possession. My motm, from the 40 minutes i saw, was Jags.

Poor performance but like I G.A.F..... how many times have we been mugged in the past?

Right, one more win and surely that's it. NOW the real inquest begins.

Martinez OUT
Howard OUT
Coleman = MORE TIME (not for today's goal, I'm certain he can get back to form with the right gameplan, thought he was sound in Kiev 1st leg)
Barry = MEDIEVALLY CATAPULTED AS FAR AS HUMANLY POSSIBLE FROM GOODISON
Kev = OUT (if he wants, which I think he does)
Distin = OUT (causality as much as garbageness)
Alcaraz = OUT
Gibson = IN (2 games, 2 wins... no Barry, enough said, if RM can't see the connection he needs to go now as opposed to the summer)
Naismith = OUT (sorry, but for all his effort he is well below standard)
Kone = BOOLOCKED INTO SHOOTING MORE
Long term replacements for Osman/Pienaar = NEEDED

Lukaku I've no problems with, but my fears are that we budgeted for a top ten finish which on today's evidence could still be beyond us. He'll go if we can't at least do that, but so be it, I'm sure there's another gooser out there for us to ruin....

When I hate football, the footy Gods always dangle the carrot instantly.

Away win, Liverpool losing at home to United in an important game.
Half time waver, Pele being on the pitch longer than Slippy G.
All the teams around us in the league losing.

Awful, but no surprise. Luck and Stones the only reason we got away with three points. Harsh on QPR. Gibson not too shabby, but watch Barry walk straight into the team.

Hopefully that's us secure and I can pretend the season has finished. Now to wait for December when Bill is forced to grow some nuts and kick this "manager" out. Going to be a depressing nine months. Maybe I should have a kid to give me something to care about.

Yes. Barry was awful today wasn't he.
