For a small fee, you'll be able to remove it.

Got a lot of family in the NHS badly needs looking at agency staff ect.I think the biggest issue is the narrative, because in essence the likely upcoming tax rises will be in many cases used to retain the status quo.
Part of that is investment in infrastructure, the NHS and whatnot, but it wouldn't be new cash per se, yet rather not having to cut spending or take on debt.
If they raise taxes AND raise spending, you're only shifting the balance to the side, rather than trying to get public finances on an even footing.
This is the reality of the situation, however we all know that many of the masses want to hear about tax cuts and extra spending, even if fanciful.
Personally, like you, I would much rather they focused on efficiencies in the truest sense of the word, where productivity and impact are enhanced.
This isn't Musk and DODGE style ripping it apart to help the wealthy; instead, I'd love to see the likes of the NHS remove the excessive, needless waste.
My wife was telling me that the DfE have spent nigh on £80bn on pupil premium money since 2012 (supporting disadvantage), with no impact at all.
If we're going to spend that type of money, which I am happy for them to do if they feel there is a need, then let's make sure it actually does the job.
That lemon got shifted on from channel 4 (that 'sas let's have some scran' rubbish) because he was doling out rollockings to certain contestants and then being a bit keen on being 'hands on', specifically with the prettier women. I'm not knocking the world he's come from, but I did chuckle that he's gone to aus (for tv) and seems to be considered quite a forward thinking man of the world type.He honestly still thinks that killing each other for your queen/king is a good thing

spelling and grammar here are off the scale, benefit of doubt, you're typing on a phone and are outside and it's freezing?Got a lot of family in the NHS badly needs looking at agency staff ect.
Seems its near impossible to sack people taking the P on sickness ect as well.
The student loans system needs looking at as well.
To many going to uni,
for let's face it no end product for themselves or the country
Would do away with the loans myself .
Make a courses like medical, science, engineering ect and make them free as long as they garrenteed to work in the UK for a certain number of years afterwards.
Not cutting for the sake of it, just more efficient use of what we spend.
Yep both and dyslexic bad mix all together.spelling and grammar here are off the scale, benefit of doubt, you're typing on a phone and are outside and it's freezing?
University is an odd one. The research out there would suggest that a large percentage of the population attending university has real economic benefits.Got a lot of family in the NHS badly needs looking at agency staff ect.

Just going off my own kids and there mates.University is an odd one. The research out there would suggest that a large percentage of the population attending university has real economic benefits.
This includes a positive impact on GDP, increased revenue (including taxes), supporting industry and economic output, and improved social mobility.
I would say, perhaps, as a layman the issue may be more to do with the rigour of the courses available and what people are choosing to study.
Science and engineering should be prioritised as you mention, including languages.
Without disputing you, or indeed the evident virtue of learning new languages, that has been a sector really hammered by AI (from a professional perspective). What's more, it's been particularly hard on entry-level roles.University is an odd one.
