Film shot on phone about woman coming to terms with her sexuality in rural Scotland, whilst narrating from queer theory literature - sounds like something out of the Daily Mash. I mean maybe it's awesome but that sounds like quite an introspective and self-regarding piece of work - don't know what the remit of the prize is but thought it was bigger than that.
25,000 quid. Van Gogh would have cut the other one off for that kind of cash.

Absolutely they are laughing.
Piles of bricks, unmade beds and a crap film from a phone camera. What a load of pretentious hogwash. Modern art my arse!
I love modern art actually but I like to feel the artist has done a bit more than poked a few objects into a random order or pressed the record button on the moby for a bit.

Actually love some modern art myself. That's the whole point, I like what I like. It's the pseudo-intellectual clap-trap spouted by so called 'experts' in the subject AND by some of the 'artists' who feel the need to go to great lengths explaining the meaning of a piece and telling me how it should make me feel.

Imagine getting this in your stocking.lol

Well shoot me down for being a pedant and stating the blooming obvious that the clue is in the term 'father.'

By all means, I'm all for equality of opportunity and equality of status where merited, but if these obsessives who want such blind equality in every nook and cranny of society have the wits they claim to have then surely they can come up with their own, novel, iconic female characters rather than just copying everything male.

Sake.

I hope I haven't disappointed, Naisy.

We may not agree in our views on Radio 4’s agenda Chris, but not much getting away from the fact that, all the while his name is FATHER Christmas, he needs to be a fella, erm, fella. ;)
