Protest

By all reports, although I wasn't there, it fell flat on its face, a bunch of hot heads spouting off if you ask me.:P

we played good football first half, it was a bit edgy with all the watford corners but we then scored two goals meaning any effort to take the focus off the team was defunct.

I have to say i am absolutley delighted it fell flat. As i have been saying all week a little perspective is needed lost two of our last ten in the leauge and potential for qualifying for Europe its madness.

I am convinced that some fans would be better of watching coranation street or eastenders than watching football. There seems a constant need for drama and for things to change quickly and when it doesnt happen yesterday the toys get thrown out if the pram.

Year on year we have developed and have improved. This being shown in a more consistent leauge placing and having the oppurtunity to challenge for europe in the final months of the season at the moment.

Ok every year at present! we may not qualify but looking at the bigger picture we are progressing year in year out. This as fans is all at present we can expect. At our rate of progression and improvement wel be chalenging consistently soon enough. Though this doesnt seem soon enough for some.

I really felt for David Moyes this week sky sports said yesterday he has spent 50 million and recouped 35 million. The man has done/does and continue to do a remarkable job based on these figures.

I wouldnt blame him for packing it in. He is stuck in the preverbaial rock and hardplace between the board and the fans. Perhaps his only fault is that he has been to do to good at his job, raising our expectations were we expect to get into europe. Yeah we have the tradition the standing but not the funding at present!

Thats not to say the man is not without his faults but i can understand the rationaile to alot of his decisions wheather i agree with them or not.

I for one would like to say thank you and honestly would not swap him for another manager in the leauge.

I think most on this forum would echo those sentiments Neiler, well said. I have asked all those who called for his blood after the Spurs defeat who would they replace him with, I'm still waiting for a response;)

great post neiler
i could agree more
i think some of it comes from the younger fans who play the football management games, where you can go out and buy anyone etc

if had that conversation with a few younger fans who can see why we aint challenging or spending huge sums on players

I think everyone has come to their senses after the Spurs debacle.

If you think about it we have only been in the top ten 3 times since the Prem began and two of those were with Moyes. So whats the problem with everyone. Eventually we are going to solidify our position year in and year out then our kids kids will have something to look forward to raising their heads high in the streets. I agree the biggest game for us is beating Notlob in the near term. We have it in us.(y)

Moyes is so focused that he would have seen any protest as nothing more than an annoyance, he knows we are on the up.

side note ~ Imagine winning every game you play! could there be anything more soul destroying and empty, you have to experience the bad times to appreciate the good times when they come along, same in life !

* winning more times than you lose is nice though ;)

Not a lot changes in four and half years eh? Lol!

By the way, Cahill is quickly jumping to the top of the *present players you cant stand* list for me:

"The protest when you look at it now was probably something that shouldn't have happened. But I know deep down they appreciate the chairman."

Erm, not quite mate. And maybe you could cut out your jollies every five ****ing minutes playing for those sheep shaggers and give your all for Everton from now on? That might help the cause.
