How can they maintain the integrity of the competition?
Liverpool will play reserves/youth teams argueing that their best players are unavailable for safety reasons.
Bottom half sides will just go through the motions if the no relegation proposal gets through..
It'll literally be just a vehicle for the RS to 'win' the title

35 years ago today is the date of the Bradford Fire. A tragedy that is always overshadowed by other tragedies and is always forgotten by the nation.
Maybe the PL & the FA should at least dwell on this today instead of putting all of their efforts into Project Restart...

It's ok, the Kopites remembered it in the most disturbing way imaginable last year. The photo is on here somewhere (it got deleted pretty quick off Twitter). SOme idiot made a painting of a Bradford supporter kneeling on the pitch in prayer as the stand burns behind him. Bizarre enough until the inevitable "YNWA" appeared.

And that just about sums them up.

Apparently one owner is threatening not to pay players if they refuse to play. Guessing Spurs or Newcastle

whats your thinking behind it being spurs or Newcastle, as if it’s actually true anyway.
Clubs know that they are bound by law to act as a responsible employer, no club wouls be stupid enough to even consider upsetting their prized assets in that way. Stop believing everything you read and think for yourself is the best advice.

Apparently, the the Daily Telegraph have been briefed that the government will approve Project Restart tomorrow subject to suitable safety precautions and no increase in the R rate.
They are actually going to do it...

Government sources have briefed the Telegraph that the Premier League could return in June. The paper says a government paper on elite sports is expected to be published on Tuesday.

These will give the green light for professional sports to return next month, including the Premier League’s planned resumption on June 12, subject to safety conditions being met and coronavirus infection rates not rising. However Boris Johnson’s go-ahead comes as up to eight Premier League clubs are expected to argue against the use of neutral venues and call for ‘Project Restart’ to be put back at a crucial meeting today.

Premier League and Government can drive up the talk of June football but clubs have to responsibly to all of their staff.

If we start seeing players getting tested twice a week with positive tests then they have to stop.

It's not a football issue like neutral grounds or substitutions, this is a health risk which club doctors have raised and been ignored.

This meeting today will produce the same old message of "we want football back" but they can't keep using players as scapegoats to force them to player against Government, health, insurance and moral advice.

The PFA HAVE to end this. It's a simple question of will you play against all legal, health and government guidelines with the knowledge that any and all responsibility will be yours and you are giving up any legal responsibility.

90% of players will vote no but flip that question to ensure clubs are held responsible then you won't find a club who will take that risk because they will rinsed in court from every player who attracts this virus.

Get it Voided

Mate , training can be no different to going to the supermarket or any other mode of work that has been going on if you adhere to the social distancing as for UEFA it’s not 25 th May they want the seasons concluded they want to know if you have a plan at that date to continue or what your plans are
are you for real? How often do you get out of breath at the supermarket and exhale a large proportion of your lung capacity? This virus is transmitted in an aerosol so breathing out heavily is a much bigger transmission risk than browsing the pasta aisle at Asda. UEFA have an ulterior motive for getting this shizzle back on, I wouldn't be trusting their advice on many things

I reckon they don't even plan on playing all 9 games, they just want a few positions sorted mathematically then they can end it, it's a disgrace, especially with Boris's new guidelines I expect the virus to start rising again in a couple of weeks, his guidelines coupled with the return of football is basically just saying to people the corona virus is over, irresponsible

That's exactly what they'll do. Get the league sorted then pull the plug on the remaining games saying it's not safe.

I'm growing g more convinced that this isnt going to happen. It's too easy for relegation threatened teams to raise continuous objections so that the entire thing would descend into high farce.
