If the FA and PL do not use some of their financial reserves to support clubs, especially those lower down, then it is clear where their priority actually is.

I think it was @Bungle who mentioned that he hoped this was a catalyst to change - a form of reset - and it could well be, but to what extent lies at the very top.

The top of the pyramid and those in the higher echelons of leadership have to make the right decisions without looking to maintain the lining of their own pockets.

And do you know who the owner of the Premier League is? The 20 clubs in it. They could all pay themselves the equivalent to any residual TV monies that might be forfeited if they voided the season to soften the blow and ensure they survive to next season. Who would object to that? Company pays itself out of cash reserves to survive economic crisis - that sounds like the right thing to do to me rather than risk elements of that company going bust and impacting on thousands (probably millions) of peoples lives.

Seen a few articles talking about long term effects on the lungs which for a professional athletes, especially the pace of the PL. That could destroy a players career, so for the authorities to try and force them back is disgraceful.

What about the BAME players too? Which studies have shown it disproportionally effects, do they get a say?

He also says the season should be finished no matter how long it takes tbf. And that's neither sensible or practical.

But I agree with him on the risks. Contact sport has to be one of the highest risk jobs out there other than frontline work. He's getting quite a bit of stick for stating the obvious as well, but can't say I'm surprised.

And then play a game of football at the end of that - meaning the whole thing was pointless.

Are the players then going to be isolated from their families for the rest of the season?

The thing is, the finish when it's safe to do so is probably legally unworkable and financially disastrous, but it's not fundamentally dangerous.
 

Latest reports are clubs need to start full training Mid May (so say May 15th) to be able to start for June 8th. I mean the lockdown is going until May 8th, and I remember they delayed news by about 7-10 days last time on the update. Unless they immediately lift the lockdown it's very hard to see that being able to go ahead.

Being objective if them being gifted a title they haven't earned stops a ridiculous plan that will kill thousands of people as a knock on result, then it's a price worth paying. Unfortunately I don't think it does.
