I don't think it's splitting hairs. I don't see it as even close to be honest. If the games get played then a team in the relegation zone has the opportunity to get out of it. It might not be the same chance as they would have had, but it's a chance nonetheless. Using PPG removes the opportunity of getting out of the relegation zone, and condemns a team to relegation when they should have had 9/10 more games to get out of trouble. It's much, much, worse in my opinion. Imagine going out and spending £20m on a striker to get you the goals to get out of the relegation zone and then finding that you're just going to be arbitrarily cut from the league without them having the chance to make an impact.Yes I mean we are splitting hair and I think both are unfair. I suppose the counter might be, being judged across the points you'd had within a regular season and rules is far fairer than giving equal waiting to what amounts to an end of season circus.
Havrey and genius in the same sentence. Doesn’t work.Ah but how do we know it isn't Havrey's account on there reposting his very own posts from here... that would be a bit genius.

The season should be called off and voided, anything else is unfair, but there are still levels of unfairness.
I think by "maintain the integrity" they mean "drag the season over the line so that Liverpool can get their title".Nothing about this at all is keeping the Integrity of the competition. Neutral venues, positive players unable to play relegation deciders, shorter halves.
Literally changing all the rules of the competition
Well they kind of have to in a way. If they stop things now and just give the RS the title before they have actually won it, then the PL have broken their own league rules and the competition as it stands is a complete farce and would cease to exist in the future They would have to create something new with a new set of rules. It's damage limitation at the moment as they are worried if they don't complete the league then certain individuals in the media will no doubt be on the case whinging like demented 2 year olds moaning about the PL and they won't want damage to the PL brand.I think by "maintain the integrity" they mean "drag the season over the line so that Liverpool can get their title".
I don't think it would be nominal mate. Sky have paid an absolute fortune for domestic rights which are exclusive. Why are they just handing them over?
Crazy that they want to finish it as a Hunger Games style event.
Can we draft in Bellew?
Shirts V SkinsIt’s definitely getting cancelled imo, I think the clubs and players will make sure of that but I’m really coming around to some of these ridiculous ideas. The more the ridiculous the better as far as I’m concerned.
Get them playing in masks, social distancing, 15 mins each way in a mini little tournament with unlimited subs on the other side of the world, all on the same day. The more farcical the better and if our club allow themselves to be part of that then it’s there own stupid fault.
Sky pay an absolute fortune for tv rights and other than through subscribers to Sky, the only money they have coming in is for the expensive advertisements they have.
No way would Sky (or BT) wanna lose the tv rights/offer to give them away free to terristrial tv for the rest of the season, (and I don't blame them.) This from someone who doesn't have Sky.
