The media only think about two things - how to acquire money and keep power in the hands of those who help them acquire money.

Lets also not forget that many of the media are self employed, contracted out to organisations and only paid when used. Its why they they keep spouting stuff to keep themselves relevant and those that are paid mainly based on Television appearances, their income has dried up drastically. Quicker football is back on TV, quicker they make money. Also, if its some sort of ridiculous 'festival of football' tournament, they'll be in for bumper paydays.

All this so they don't get an * next to their list of honours.

There's no clean way of finishing the league. The less messy is to end it now based on points per game across all divisions, keeping relegation and promotion.

Restart the leagues in August (Albania start their league at the latest date in Europe), knock the league cup on the head, so then there's plenty of time to organise a structure.

Additionally the RS can kick off all they want. The minute the Premiership say "it goes ahead" it means the lower leagues have to follow suit. They don't have the resources to cope playing empty behind closed doors games and will hemorrhage costs. All because of the *
PPG isn’t a fair way to resolve this either... if you’re in bottom 3 but have played all the so called big teams but you’re nearest rivals haven’t... how is that fair ?

I'd be surprised if we saw any large-scale professional sport take place any time before the Autumn. This plague is just far too dangerous to people's health and disruptive to the economy that we simply can't risk a second peak. If that means we're locked down / partially locked down for the entire Summer and beyond then that's what will happen.

Those advocating a PL restart before the current lockdown is even reviewed are dangerous and incredibly selfish.

Dangerous and incredibly selfish.....
That just about encapsulates your average RS fan then.

As mentioned there's no clear way to end it that doesn't have knock on effects.

On the back of fairness and assumptions, surely the FA Cup should go ahead? Newcastle and Norwich are still in it so either could hypothetically win it and get European qualification. Additionally, mathematically the RS haven't won the league

Overall it's with 8 games left. They've played 90% of their games which is a good bar to read who finishes where.

And now I've read that the club's favour playing the final fixtures...but without relegation lol

So - so that they can sell copy they write exactly what an editor wants to see. And the editor stays in his job by selecting what the billionaire owner wants to spread. And the billionaire spreads whatever the government want people to think so the tax man looks the other way.

And people say conspiracies don't exist.

Just read this on BBC.......
Brighton are 15th in the league, two points above the relegation zone, with nine games left to play - including home fixtures against Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool and Manchester City.

So these RS apologists think it’s reasonable to expect Brighton to play those ‘home’ fixtures at a neutral venue and throw away any atmospheric home ground gain? Pathetic.
