I was the same didn't think it would work but after a while id forgot there was no crowd.I was honestly of that opinion I thought the idea was beyond ridiculous and everyone i knew was of the same Opinion . Nobody I know whose watched the NRL hasn’t changed their mind including non rugby fans who I’ve sent clips to .
I’m Generally opposed to the whole thing frankly but the NRL have done it well , no two ways about it .
Putting the derby on free to air so they can play at Goodison because they think they won't all turn up outside is the chocolate teapot of ideas.
Look at a sniff of lockdown being open, instantly beaches, shops, parks start filling up add Cummings Ideology of I CAN DO WANT I WANT then those Historical Grief-Fuelled Customers "icolating" with small groups in Stanley Park, cue fighting and the Police doing nothing but collecting the money for Policing.
Get in the bin Everton seriously if you think this won't happen.
simcast it is,sky and pick, which is ch 11 Terrestrial TV [if thats the right one]The free to air games won’t be on Sky Sports itself apparently, they’ll be shown on one of the Freeview channels Sky owns called Pick TV

My son tells me the cardboard cutouts with people's faces and rugby shirts in the stands costs 20 dollars to have your face on don't think id go that far but thought it worked well.
He could have been winding me up over that last bit though.
Definitely does i was watching it on sky so hopefully they do the same for the football.I was in a rugby group chat and we were discussing the first game & it took us a while to realise it was actually happening . It’s understated but it absolutely adds to the enjoyment .
No.Will the RS cardboard cutouts also have slabs ?
Genuinely think the clubs are just going through the motions to get the cut of the TV money.
Will the RS cardboard cutouts also speak about Heysel like it wasnt their fault
The guidelines state: "Social distancing should be maintained by all groups where possible.
"This includes the competing athletes and support staff on the bench and field of play, such as during any disputes between players and referees, or scoring celebrations."
On a story on the Echo.
Social distancing on the field of play?
If it's safe, this shouldn't be necessary.
If it's not safe, then the game isn't necessary.
