I don’t think anyone will force them , most of what I’m seeing from the clubs is it’s ok and understandable if you feel that bad about playing we won’t force you , the fact is not that many seem to be in that frame of mind .

The fact is you haven't got a clue what frame of mind they're in.

And neither do you I’d hazard a guess the vast majority are happy to go back going by the comments they’ve made and the reassurances they have been given , if you were told all your family you’ve been unable to see during lockdown will be tested three times a week any positivly tested would be isolated would you still not be happy to sit on a sofa next to them ?

How many have you heard say this?

I’m sure the PFA took representation off it’s members that’s were my assumption comes from , players union telling it’s members how it’s H&S would be protected , nothing will be risk free if your advocating not starting it until it’s gone then it’s possible it won’t be here then . You didn’t answer my question about your family .

As a footballer I would much rather stay with my family. Tests are only about 70% accurate. There have been many examples of false negatives. As a blue, why are you so eager for it to come back? Missing football that much I suppose.

Yes but same players will have probably had three tests at least until they get to that stage , negative tested players can’t catch it off other negatively tested players , football would not start until a vaccine there would be no other way by your reasoning is that what you propose
So everyone has been tested to death yet they have to keep 2m apart when on the bench and we also see them wearing masks. It doesn't add up.

The question wasn’t directed as a footballer it was directed to you in whatever line of work you do , playing football to a footballer is a job it’s more your reluctance to accept risk when everything is being layed on to you for a return to work , the tests the PL have instructed are over 98% accurate from what I read yesterday , as for wanting it to return I was an earlier advocate because of the financial damage it will do to the club . You’ve seen today the loss United made in the first quarter yet that’s only with one week of lockdown . Can I ask why your so eager for it not to return and what criteria do you think it should return on

Chris, there's going to be a full Goodison worth of death's soon. In countries were there is many, many fewer deaths, they aren't even planning to play football anytime soon. You didn't answer my last question of why you think anyone will be able to force the most powerful entity in football, the players, to play the game in a county that has so obviously made such a pigs arse of managing the crisis?

As JoeHarper posted noone will be forced at all.

I'm not minimising the risks, personally i have no desire at all to see a restart but just the opposite. I'm outlining the situation at present not the crisis as a whole or any management or mismanagement over the period.

I can state that the risks of contracting the virus are far greater in some parts of the country (Scotland) and rapidly receding in others - mainly London and the South but also parts of the Midlands. Scotland, Wales and parts of the North aren't anywhere near as far along the line

It makes sense to stage any restart where the risks are relatively less and I'd envisage that will be the case.

Them and Liverpool will really be feeling this, much more then anyone else. Those are the clubs who have huge match day revenues and big sponsorship deals.

I’m very confident Liverpool are the club losing £9 million per week.

We’ll lose about £20 million max. They’ll both be deep into 3 figures.

There was an article a few weeks ago saying a rs spends on average £58.00 a home match.

Ours was £17.00 so like you said, the clubs that make a massive wedge from their fans on match day will feel it the most
