Because the season hasn't been completed. You judge teams after 38 games when they've all had an equal chance to play every home and away. ALl you get after 29 games is a snapshot.

Well no, and I suspect you will see law suits either way, but the PL is weaker if it goes down the PPG route. They will lose hundreds of millions.

Then it should be voided shouldn’t it ? Surely the ethics with sport are that it should be competed on a level playing so to speak

Well if you don't think Norwich should get away with relegation you must think Leeds/WBA deserve promoting.

I don’t, it’s more the situation, you can’t just say give them the title but say no to relegations/promotions because you’re punishing teams who have worked hard to try and come up while saving underperforming teams from going down

The format of the home/away league competition is by its very nature null and void if the season isn't completed. If all teams don't play each other home and away then it isn't a league. It's some kind of randomly-selected pool-based tournament.

As Everton won't be missing out on Europe or under threat from relegation, I can speak as a neutral. If the league is completed on PPG then I'll write the whole league season off as meaningless.
