Was just listening to that welly head Carragher, he was saying that when neutral grounds was suggested clubs near the bottom of the league were vocal about not being happy with it but now since it’s been suggested relegation is off the table they are happy to play, he said that weakens their argument for first going against it .

The letter, seen by The Athletic, is split into 10 subject areas and within each of them it warns of multiple COVID-19 concerns that the medics say have not been addressed, including:
The advice issued last week forbids medical treatment and manual therapy from taking place at training grounds unless it is “essential”, and the doctors want the league to define “essential”.
“Medical staff will have regular close player contact,” they explain. “We cannot expect players not to require increased hands-on assessment and treatment following a long period of rest.”
There are various considerations around resuming exercise post-infection, particularly in respect to cardiac effects — “Are some groups more susceptible? What is the risk of sudden death?” — and additional information is requested on the specialists who reviewed these specific protocols.
Logistics are a pressing concern: “Where will we source PPE, as there is a clear issue with supply chain? Many private hospitals are closed… second opinions and imaging cannot be accessed. Can we be sure they will be up and running by the time we are doing small group work? What is the call-out time if we have a problem on the training pitch? Do we have to use NHS care, which may not be satisfactory and poses risk of exposure to COVID-19 infection in A&E and hospital?
The email ends on discipline: “Rumours are plenty that some clubs are ignoring agreements amongst the PLDG without repercussions. It seems odd that risk taking for performance advantage in the current circumstances should be viewed within some clubs as good practice.”

If they want to continue with this ridiculous idea, why don't they just use the training grounds. They're usually in a rural setting, and no big stadiums to police.

Doesn't get the whole principle that the parameters have changed and the fact that playing away from home in an empty stadium was not going to help them avoid relegation and without that the situation goes away. It's not difficult is it!

And the next announcement will be....I'm afraid we have had to shelve showing live football as people will congregate around the stadiums so the fixture will take place at a random time and date and be shown some point later.
So you'll have to change that to "And it was live last week!"
Maybe they can televise the games in a different order so if the RS lose 6 out of the 9 games they can show all the defeats first to drag it out before showing the 2 games they won back to back when it resumed. Perfectly engineered football to create drama to the last, sky would love that.
