Mate, people are entitled to different opinions. It's touching that you follow me around the internet, waiting to pounce whenever I mention Gibson, but I bet there are more interesting things to be done.

And we only got Gibson for such a low fee in the first place because of guess what? That's right, his poor injury record. If, and that's a HUGE if, he can maintain a decent level of fitness then yes, he's a very talented player. I suspect, given his injury history, that this may be beyond him however.

Here's a question for you. Let's say we sign Barry and Diame.... do you still want to keep Gibbo, or do you start thinking about letting that 4th CDM spot go to a younger player like Lundstram?

Yup. We need two teams for the amount of games will be playing before Xmas. Don't know enough about Lundstram at the moment to suggest if he will make it or not. The fact he didnt get in at Yeovil all that often despite a decent start indicates that he still needs to develop a little before first team action - the likes of Barkley and Stones dont come about all that often.

And dont flatter yourself, I dont have an agenda against you, I just feel your opinion of Gibson and the need to offload him is somewhat misguided ! However its all about opinion and you, like me are entitled to yours !

Vellios and Gueye. We're going to need the others if we're going to compete effectively in Europa.

Outs - Vellios, Guaye, Hibbert (retirement) Alcaraz.

Wouldn't get rid of pienaar or Osman tbh, EL footy next season means a bigger squad needed and both could still be very usefull squad players.

Robles I'm just not sure... He's looked poor IMO but looked good playing week in week out at Wigan
Maybe he deserves another season yet where I would imagine there will be more opportunity's for him. My personel opinion is that he's not going to be good enough to replace Howard.

Bobby has done great so far but I feel his biggest test will be replacing the snr defensive players like Howard, jags,Distin, Baines etc when the time comes.

I don't get why in any way you would feel Gibson will or even should be moved on.

And even if we had Barry McCarthy Gibson and diame that doesn't mean a lundstrum or lesson or whoever coming through if there good enough. Especially given Barry's age!

I know this will prove a highly unpopular opinion but...

...I want to see Vellios stay and give him another chance.

There. I said it.

I was speaking to Magaye mate who he's pretty close to ..he's apparently moving to Turkey dunno what club but it's permanent , proberly the right League for him

I'd get rid of Barkley and Stones.

I get it that both are young and hyped up but I don't think either will improve that much and for the 30 mil we could get for the pair of them we could buy 3 top players to improve the team.
you raise valid considerations. However, I think you are dreaming about getting such a good price for the pair of them....especially in the current climate where money is not being thrown around like confetti

Agree with the above, they no longer offer us anything.

I'd be tempted to lob Kone in there too. That'd be about 7m coming in in fees plus 100k plus p/w off the wage bill. A saving of over 12m by getting rid.

Time to invest in promising youth coupled with two or three top players.

I suspect Kone might have a few people facing the wrath of the vault next season

Vellios, Gueye obviously out, Alcaraz probaly, Hibbert to go as well. Osman won't go and I don't mind him staying as a back up, but we shouldn't be having him start against Manchester City, was always going to be a mis-match.

Really though, Vellios, Gueye, maybe Hibbo based off of how he's doing in training since his latest injury... Everybody else...

Well, we'll probably have over 50 fixtures next season. We're guaranteed 40 already. If Arsenal win the FA Cup, that number goes up to 44 guaranteed. Lotsa matches.
