Everton Football Club has now finalised the team’s pre-season schedule for 2011 and has confirmed exclusive live coverage of all six games on evertontv.
Fans will be able to catch every minute of the Blues’ pre-season fixtures on the Club’s online video service as David Moyes prepares his squad for the 2011/12 Barclays Premier League season.

Everton’s 2011 pre-season schedule:
* Friday 15 July, Bury (A) KO 7.45pm (BST)
* Wednesday 20 July, Philadelphia Union (A) KO 7.30pm (LOCAL)
* Saturday 23 July, DC United (A) KO 7.30pm (LOCAL)
* Saturday 30 July, Birmingham City (A) KO 3pm (BST)
* Tuesday 2 August, Werder Bremen (A) KO 6.30pm (BST)
* Friday 5 August, Villarreal (H) KO 7.45pm (BST)

All the fixtures will be broadcast on a pay-per-view basis with each game costing just £4.99. Alternatively, supporters can take advantage of a pre-season 2011 package and order all six games for just £25.

Mark Rowan, Everton’s Head of Media and Communications, said: “evertontv is the only place supporters can watch all of our 2011 pre-season fixtures live. It is a significant undertaking for the Club because our pre-season games span three countries. But it is something we know fans appreciate and with the increased appetite for online video we are sure it will prove popular with Blues in the UK and overseas.”

The coming season beckons a new era for evertontv. From 1 July, all registered users of evertonfc.com will be able to access match highlights and goals from the 2011/12 Barclays Premier League season, exclusive player interviews, news packages and hundreds of hours of archive match footage via the online channel for free.
Everton’s 2011 pre-season action is available live and exclusive by pay-per-view on evertontv. To secure your pre-season package visit evertonfc.com/evertontv.

£5 for a pre-season game is definitely steep.

If I can't find gentle channels of water for the games I may pay for the Werder Bremen one, though. Hopefully I can go to the Villareal one as that's at home.

It's all I used it for last season, although anyone remember the balls up when they were showing man utd on tour in Ireland for the whole first half of one of our pre games last season.

I'm a sucker for it so I'll be buying the package. Everton, if you read this read... Please some new faces for these games. It is what adds the interest seeing if we have a new star for the coming season.

that never happened to me,watched every everton friendly without any problems and perfect pic,the sound was gone on one game for the 1st 15 or so mins on a down under game and that was it but that was because they forgot to put mic on

I thought it was supposed to be free?

I assume it was "everything apart from what people actually want" is free.

Too expensive anyway. I won't bother. It's not like we're seeing anyone new play anyway.

Yes I emailed them and they said it affected a small number of subscribers. They even offered me a fiver in compo if I remember correctly, so a fiver a game is dead right.

I'll pay it one way or another. Odd that they don't give any details about highlights if you miss one. Or the possibility of seeing the whole match later if you are subscribed.

You miserable sods.

There will be some excellent free content to watch. It'll only be the pre-season games they'll charge for - they have to recoup costs (and hopefully make some!) somewhere.

A fiver for 90 minutes of Everton football is sod all. And I'm a skint meff...

The radio commentary will be free, which I used a few times last season to be fair. In fact the radio used to be free up until about 2004 I was really pissed off when they started charging for it.

All in all it's boss it's free again.

The huge amounts of adverts the site hammers us with is where the money is made.
