Potential Friendly with FC Twente this summer?

We could do with being involved in a pre-season tournament against top top quality clubs. The last time we were we had a great season.

I suppose with that Euro Disney trophy qualifier though it complicates matters in terms of ANY pre-season tournament.

Austria or Marbella it is. Loads of clubs love a good friendly in those places.

Do you know if that's a neutral ground in the Netherlands or another country? The article says it was scheduled for a Dutch lower league club in the Twente region (KVV Quick 20) but that their ground is unavailable due to the pitch being changed. To me that suggests they want to play it in the Netherlands. Would be handy for flights at least.

Those are at least competitive games. I reckon that has value.

They do, but they complicate pre-season and also I think they ask a team to begin to peak too early.

I cant stand the competition: it'd be great to win it but it;s a marathon and only a remote chance of doing so. The domestic cups should be our target and the EL should be for the U23 team to get stuck into.

Share your sentiment. We always seem to go into the new season 'under cooked' mostly due to lack of intensity and quality of the opposition we face. However although it might lack quality, our Europa league qualifier should at least have intensity as it is a 'meaningful' game and ironically might prepare us better for the new season.
