When your 'arl fella is The Adidas Online Sales Manager though you tend to be able to have £300 boots with micro-chips in cos he obv doesn't have to pay that.

Not gonna lie, I like that one...the colour helps.

Played Saturday morning, won 3-1 against a team including a Serie C and former AC Milan reserve player.

Tbh he was 10 times better than anyone on the field even at the age of 40...
Yeah I get where you're coming from. Quality just shines through. My footie coach last season played in the 82 NZ Team that went to the world cup as a midfielder, and he must be 50 now, but in the little kickarounds, he was clearly not arsed but still had a magnificent touch, miles better than any on the field, and comfortably was able to beat players and make tackles.

Proper went off this morning.

Play stopped twice for 5 minutes, 2nd time just before it I saw my lad say something to their parents who were calling him Tom Daley and Diver, he told them to shut their mouths & a kid who had been taken off started to threaten him, a minute later and he puts 1 of our lads through and a lad 2 foots him then boots him so he gets up and belts him and their captain runs over & tries to stick 1 on him, he fronted him up saying Come on then !! Got taken off then as coach couldn't calm him down.
Then to cap it all they scored the winner with the last kick.

Supposed to be playing them again next week.

Definitely caused by their parents imo.

u12's footy eh.

I still play in an over 30 co-ed league with my GF. Also play in a few men's leagues, both futsal and full field. At 44 I've lost some skills and pace, but it's still a sh_t-ton of fun. Key for me is to be competitive but not necessarily serious--ref makes a bad call or player makes a bad foul, just move on. I'll play as hard as I can but I'm not gonna get in a tussle over a weekly soccer game in a recreational league in western Virginia.

Played 4 league games so far this season with just 1 point to show, then went and beat a team 3 divisions above us 1-0 at the weekend in a cup match. They are a middle top tier side , we play away to one of the best teams in the county next week, they just beat a team 1 division below them 7-0 at the weekend and we are a couple divisions below that, should be fun. The biggest loss i'v endured whilst playing is 9-1,it could be tested next weekend.

The u-14's I coach had a good 4-0 win at the weekend, top after 4 games.

I'm about to resume my football career in an Over 40 league. It's been quite awhile since I've played in any competitive football league. Years actually.

I'll let you know how it goes.

Won 3-1 in my first match back. Played right back. Fitness levels not great but will get better. Once they get better, I'll be our version of Seamus Coleman, minus the scoring of course.

I manage my base team, we've got a game tomorrow against one of the army teams in our league. They've won every game so far with a plus 15 GD, we've played 4 won 2, it's gonna be a hard game but I've got alot of players back I didn't have at the start of the season so i think we'll give them a game.

I used to play a lot of Army football, it was a decent standard as we'll.

Yeah the army teams are always decent, i'm in the RAF, we're usually technically better but the army teams are always fitter. Plus they have about 30 lads on the sidelines giving you stick all game!
Played against Cosford, Stafford and Valley in the past, always decent games. As you said fitness always played a big part, although we always got a decent game at Cosford.

Poor start for us. Probably because our manager said before the season "I want us to play three formations at a time, one when we've got possession and one when we haven't".
