Wow what a bonkers game of football, great game, exciting to watch and obviously for me a great result (to be fair a draw would have been fair).
I can't believe the negativity on here, you played some fabulous stuff and at times opened up Stoke at ease, something no other team has done this season.

I posted on here when Stoke first got back to the Premier League and whilst I'll be ever grateful to Tony Pulis, Mark Hughes has done a magnificent job at Stoke and we are playing some of the best stuff I've see as a 45 year old Potter.

Good luck for the rest of the season and I hope our paths cross at Wembley in the League Cup.

I dunno mate, its massively frustrating. And its not as simple as getting rid of howard either i reckon, the moment the opposition have the ball we just seem to backtrack all the way back to our own 18 yard box and invite them to cross or shoot. That bugged me last season and it seems even worse this season.

Totally agree mate. At first it seemed as though Howard's mistakes were inducing lower confidence in the defence but as you say, it just seems to be so disorganised. Depressing given our potential.

Finishing 9/10th is great for a club like Stoke we should be higher than what we are.

Fair enough to your lot, mate. Played some really class stuff today.

A draw would've been a fair result, I'd have said. In the grand scheme the point means little, it's just the manner of how we threw the points away from a winning position, and then it's compounded by the fact that it shouldn't have been a penalty.

For what it's worth, wish you all the best, you've got some cracking players.

Nice one mate, you are a great team to watch at the moment and have some cracking players. But to highlight the bold bit, we've just conceded 4 at home which is unacceptable against any opposition. We have the same problems crop up week in week out and are midtable with a very very talented bunch of players.

Thanks mate, best if luck against them lot in the cup.

The reason for the negativity is the sheer amount of goals we're letting in, you're a better side than you have been for years, but we really shouldn't be needing to score 5 to beat Stoke at Goodison.

I think its the fact we get ourselves in all sorts of mad games like this. Fair play on the win, yous have an excellent side these days. But I hope it's never deemed acceptable for a club like us to be conceding 4 at home to Stoke City. Our stupidity, which stemmed from our manager's lackof clues in how to defend, added to the return of the cheat with the whistle, was reason we lost. We had the game there at 3-2. And as usual we played like fools. It's hard to accept because its a regular thing.

I'd give him until this time next year at least. We'll likely get lots of money from selling Stones and Lukaku in the summer and I reckon Martinez deserves the chance to carry on building the team with that cash. That said he needs to be more ruthless and less stubborn: if he doesn't address the goalkeeper situation for example then I will lose faith entirely. This season has been incredibly frustrating but we all know there is a good team in there, on that basis I'd give him time. As others have mentioned though, his is the safest job in the league atm.

Thanks mate, appreciate being patronised by a Stoke fan, that's what we all deserve and why I'm laughing at everyone on this forum
