Post Stoke game, Stick or Twist?

Keep him. They need to make defensive exercises and dealing with crosses a priority in training. The sheer number of mistakes we are making defensively shows we need to tighten things up.

I really hope Bobby can sort it out at the back because going forward this is the best football I've seen us play. It means nothing though if you concede with every opposition attack and that's why we're where we are in the league.

What has he achieved? He won one cup by winning two hard games - city and everton away. He then took Wigan down in his last season there. You can see why now, he can't organise a defence.

In a bit for me.

We can't keep doing this after every negative result. It's silly.

I'd be more intrigued to know what would be a sackable performance at the end of the season - from the boards perspective.

I'd suspect he's very safe under our regime. Probably the safest job in the league.

This is the issue, and the same with Moyes when everything went stale. The owners and the board are not ambitious enough for even the most conservative Evertonians, people who hate modern 'Sky football', even winning a cup seems out of their minds, so if they don't think we could or should win cups or get into Europe regular then why would the manager when he knows he just has to keep the team in the PL to keep his job.

It is a bit of a knee-jerk reaction but sometimes when you're angry it brings out your inner thoughts and this is the beginning of the end for me, that today was a match we should never have lost when ahead 3-2.
We needed Besic for Kone to shore things up in the middle and provide more energy after we took the lead. We're conceding far too many goals particularly in matches where we're so dominant and Martinez needs to find the balance rather than being so bl***y positive all the time.
Should he stay he needs to get a new goalie next week who dominates the box and bring Jags back for Stones - briefly because he looks jaded - and he needs to start working on set pieces because our c***ness at set pieces is really doing my head in!

Nobody is arguing the fact if he will be sacked we all know it won't happen, but I can guarantee in 4/5 years time, when Stones is playing for Barcelona Lukaku is winning Champions league trophy with Bayern Munich and Barkley is playing for man Utd, we will all be looking back lamenting the fact we had a naive manager at the helm. Yes he lets them play but and has really developed them but let's face it he has as much tactical nous as a chimpanzee high on heroine. An absolute head the ball who's philosophy is commendable but will never succeed over the course of a premiership season. Stoke scoring 4 away when they scored 6 all season says it all.

difficult one. really like martinez but I cannot keep going to goodison knowing the opposition are going to score at least one goal. actually feel sorry for a couple of players who have been performing week in week out this season. if ever there was a season to make top 4 it was this. anyway feel we need to stick with him a little longer but we have to balance the brilliant attacking play with a resolute defence.

Our flood of goals have coincided with Jagielka and McCarthy being injured. Just like how Man City are poor at the back without Kompany. The last five games haven't been good enough at the back (even Newcastle as we were lucky they missed clear chances) but I still think he stays for now. The cups and second half of season results should be huge in his future though and are definitely make on break for keeping our stars at the club.
