Russian Evertonian

Player Valuation: £6m
Of course I am very disappointed with our results, only one win from seven games.
But if you are looking on the table and on the next fixtures you will see that we are very close to our aims. And we still can compete for 4-6th places.
We are only 5 points from MU, who are 4th on the table. But they haven't played yet a top clubs, only Everton. And they already lost to Swansea, Leicester, drew with Burnley.
At the contrast we already played against Ars, Chelsea, RS, MU from our seven games.
Only Man City and Chelsea looked like a teams from a different planet, the others are no better then us.
We have the next five games which we can win. Or at least to win four and have a one draw.
I am sure that we will be in a hat for a top places. So let's support Roberto and the team.
COYB!

We still have a great first XI and some boss back up when all fit.

We know the problem, the key players have all had injuries and we started the season badly.

I fully expect nothing less than top 6 with this squad, anything less is a failure.

Like it.

I'm bored of being down about Everton now. Yeah we're going through a rough spell, but it might actually be a good thing as we should come out stronger the other side.

Without failure you can't appreciate success.

Or something.

Is right lad.

31 games left.

93 points on the board still to play for.

Two halves to the Season, and we always come good in one of them.

Don't we?

It's funny really, yeah we've had a fairly poor start but the way some people are making out we've lost every game, played crap in all of them, been dumped out of all the cups and all our players and manager have turned poo over night and need replacing with a bunch of untried kids regardless of ability. People are making out the seasons over after only 9 games ffs, unbelievable.

A little perspective and understanding is needed, now's clearly not a time for knee jerk reactions and cool heads will prevail in time. I'd happily take a drop in league placings this season if it means we challenge for a cup or two finally, it's been far to long since we had something other than a league placing to celebrate.

I agree. We've had a start somewhat different than what we all wanted, but so long as the boys on the park and the manager keep their heads, there is no reason we cannot get on track and start getting those points on the board.
Great topic.

And we're top of our Europa group!!

We will be proper strong around Xmas when all our players are coming back and starting to get some decent match fitness, which is a busy period where alot of teams fall away.

Good thread OP... Are you a WUM?

Good point about Europa. We also have Oviedo back, who can give Baines a break when he needs it. Jagielka is looking much fitter, Besic showed that he is settling in, Gibson is still solid, and I reckon although Osman is not as quick as he used to be, he's still got an eye for goal and will get his share off the bench.

Mentioning the Europa League and its place in the Champions League for the winner next season, does anybody think that maybe El Bob has looked at the league and maybe, just maybe feels we've got a better chance of winning the EL than finishing top four. What would folk think if we finished 7th or 8th, but won the EL and got CL next season?

That would do quite nicely, I'd even take lower than 8th and the Europa win to be fair.
