I'm really positive about knowing that Everton are not going to do an Everton and lull me into a false sense of security just to mess it all up when it comes to the crunch.

Today I went out for a Sunday lunch, safe in the knowledge that we were getting hammered, didn't have that usual feeling of "tell you what, win this and we're back in it" etc, the players don't care, the board doesn't care, why should we bother ourselves?

Acceptance is the key, we are a disaster, it's all good.

Bolasie, Coleman, McCarthy, Niasse and hopefully Funes Mori later. These additions should push out for good Mirallas, Schederlin, Williams. Give Calvert Lewin and Jonjoe Kenny less pressure to play all the time.

We may be better at egg chasing

We are 4 points from 9th
We have a new manager to come in
We have money to spend

We need to get breathing space, survive this season and then at the end of the season have an inquiry into how things got so bad. We then need to headhunt a top class CEO.

If we had no options I'd be concerned. But we do. And we'll ease clear by some distance come May.

Think I prefer the optimistic Davek.

We all have to believe this.
We are witnessing, hopefully, the worst moments we will see this season, yet we are still not in the relegation zone.
New Manager has to come in this week. There is still time.
