I have to say, the chops I get from my local butchers (of both varieties) knock the styrofoam-and-celophane-packed supermarket ones into a cocked hat. I agree with the majority on here that lamb chops have more flavour but a good (butchers) pork chop is better than a poor (Tescos) lamb chop.

Meats always better from a proper butcher instead of a supermarket chain.

Think people have a tendency to over cook pork chops and dry them out. A nice pork chop cooked over a charcoal barbecue is delicious

Answer depends upon location, pork is superior to grass fed lamb, but when in France, Greece, North Africa where the lambs feed on wild herbs, thyme and rosemary for example, then lamb wins hands down.

Goat chops in Greece - even better.

Sainsburys is better than Tesco.

For Lamb and Pork.

Surely you buy from a local butchers? (given your location)

The farm shop closed recently. Probably down to Sainsburys and Tesco ironically. Used to go there. Was ace, and they gave us big bones for Guiness as well. The dog btw!

Hasnt been a butcher in Portishead high street for about 20 years remarkably.
