That's the formation I'd play (433) with Gomes, Delph and Davies in the middle and Iwobi, DCL and Richarlison up top. I'd literally tell Davies his job is to go and press, harry, chase anything that moves and ask Delph to be disciplined. When they win the ball back give it to Andre.

I'd keep Holgate and Mina personally and give Sidibe another run out.

Its a free shot Saturday because no one expects us to win but what must happen is that we compete and at the very least give them a game.

City are a fast and nippy team inter changing all over the pitch, especially in the opposition half and penalty area, no way would I have Keane facing them, they’d spin him dizzy attack after attack, it’s got to be Holgate.

UNfortuantely, it is a poor three that we have available.

Is it? Is Schneiderlin, Delph and Gomes/Davies that much worse than Schneiderlin/Gomes, Delph and Sigurdsson?

Honestly it might be better. Gylfi is just off the pace this year with the exception of a very good Wolves performance.

I guess Everton just use it in the worst way possible.

I guess Everton just use it in the worst way possible.

I haven't watched Norwich closely but I'd suspect that the difference is their #10 plays deep enough to be considered a midfielder and isn't right on top of the striker like Sigurdsson tends to be. But even outside of that they do a much better job linking up with each other than we do.

Also they don't seem to give a toss about defending so that makes it easier creatively. Even that City game required City to miss a bunch of chances to not win it 4 or 5 to 3.
