I dunno about you lot. But I actually get proper embarrassed when I see us singing "we're gonna win the league".

Too many years of getting laughed at has made me like this.

Remember how we sang about CL footy only to get knocked out in the qualifiers and not get CL footy.

To be honest, if other fans didn't realise we were being tongue-in-cheek when chanting that today then I feel sorry for them rather than embarrassed about ourselves. As it makes them complete idiots.

It's nice to know as a fan base the majority of us can have a laugh about it instead of getting delusional like our neighbours though.

To be fair to Swansea fans, they didn't take it to heart and a few of them even said to me "if you keep playing like that all season, maybe your chants you will come true."

We will stay in the top 4 for the rest of the season.

The only thing that will derail that is being distracted by appearances at Wembley.

A cup or two and 5th wouldn't be too bad though.

This is the season we've all been waiting for. I understand the reticence of my fellow blues. We are Everton after all. We've gotten used to it.

We have been playing some fantastic football in 2012 and I can't see why we can't keep it going. We have a team that plays so much quicker than anything we have witnessed for 25 years and a defence that was only second to the champions last season (I think).

It's time to be positive. The team are tight knit and are enjoying playing for the club.

I for one will continue to believe we're going to win the league until it's a mathematival impossibility.

Everton has been a 40oz bottle of luquid prozac that I finished off in 15 minutes this year. Besides the day off we took at WB and the refs taking 2 pts off us I haven't been the least worried with us cocking up in any of our matches this year. Anichebe starting and being a tire fire against Swansea's counter attack, NO WORRIES. This season will be fun.

I can see us winning our next four games. The next tricky one will be away at Fulham (and yes, I know the derby is the last of those four). It doesn't help that our last match of the season is at Chelsea but we ought to be assured of at least a top 4 spot by then.

We're an exciting footballing side with a few class players who look capable of scoring goals and winning against anyone. There's some similarities there with the Spurs team of the last couple of seasons. Spurs's experience gives some pointers as to what we might expect in the coming months. To stay in the top 4, never mind winning the league, the competition is intense. You're up against some of the strongest squads in Europe. When Jelavic is injured, we bring in Anichebe. Look at the calibre of strikers that City, United and Chelsea have sitting on the bench every week. Consistency week in week out is vital. Spurs struggled to achieve this - they gave away too many points against 'weaker' teams. Our biggest problem will be trying to break down teams who are very well organised like West Brom and park men behind the ball and try to break up our play.

But hey, it's still September. Let's just enjoy the fact that we're riding high and playing beautiful football. If we carry on playing like this till the end of the season I guarantee that we'll score a shedload of goals and have an exciting ride, whatever position we end up.
