He's like Catterick...if Catterick was utterly useless and a hard faced fraud.

Catterick was an Evertonian. I'm coming to the conclusion that we need a spell with a man who knows the club and respects it. Unsworth if we cant get Tuchel.

Tuchel won't come ( opinion, not fact, but it seems very unlikely )

Unsworth would likely give us a short-term fillip, but has he really got the skills to take the top job ? I don't know, and neither do you.

He gets a chance to turn in a good performance against Arsenal. No sacking yet, surely.

Hard to say what is wrong with the team, but I'm guessing it's mental and about an unstable squad. However, the tactics he employs are completely ineffective.

That said, he is a good manager in the midst of a game, knowing when and how to make a sub or a change. Moyes or Martinez rarely did.

Honestly mate, it's because it's not looking up as an appointment. Essentially we signed a championship manager in moyes, a manager who took a team down in Martinez and a manager in koeman who didn't have the biggest cv for success.

I have seen this manager bringing in the best of the players below us for the past year and now we are down there where they come from. Only 8 games in but we can't even beat Brighton, that is how bad we are right now.

The reason why I would rubbish dyche is not down to his ability, it's because he is a gamble and a low key one at that. Dyche gas done a fantastic job making Burnley a solid mid table outfit who stay up every year. But that's it, he has won nothing of note and we would hire him based on the what if factor. I want a manager who you can look at and expect us to do well. One that sets the bar high and actually gives a damn when the team doesn't play well. As a blue I can't remember the last time a manager cared about losing, or the last time the board cared. I don't expect us to bring in a top coach by any stretch but I want one who demands success from his team. Koeman isn't arsed, Martinez wasn't wasn't, moyes wasn't arsed really. We have walked off that pitch today and there is not one ounce of embarrassment from the team or manager, same as 2 seasons ago. It would be nice to walk off from a draw with Brighton and know the manager is fuming at them and the fans can feel gutted, except very few fans are.

Bit of a ramble so apologies for that. I just want the club to show ambition and if it's not a successful manager then one that essentially has experience getting the best out of his team, dyche for all accounts isn't that man.

No need to apogise mate I enjoyed reading your view. You've answered my question. I think you're right - it is a gamble. I can't argue with that.

I think as football fans we're all being reasonable by asking footballers, who are paid millions, to justify their selection and wages and having watched your match, too many players were hiding. Whether that's a confidence issue, or just a general problem I'm not sure.

Your squad is littered with talent.

On last question - who would be your replacement mate? Who you'd like to see come in.

Arsenal are normally bottlers when it comes to playing away from home, so we need to take a leaf out of the RS's book and get at them from the off, get stuck - in and don't give them time to settle, if we don't do this then the writing could be on the wall for another hiding.

Pretty much, yeah. I think even a draw against the gunners would be enough to keep the job, but another lackluster home loss like against Burnley and he'll be sacked before the post match interview

I just think he is destroying a lot of the good work unsworth has achieved with the under 23s,kenny,davies,lookman,holgate,calvert lewin, dowell etc have either been bombed out of the squad or had their confidence drained by not being played in their correct positions, his well publicised bust ups/falling outs with Barkley, mirallas, niasse etc,it just looks a very troubled set up.

If I had to pick one honestly it would be tuchel. A very talented young coach who could well be great for us given control of the team. It's a little hypocritical to say dyche is a gamble and suggest one myself I'll admit. I just personally see the difference in a manager at Burnley who has made them hard to beat as a mark on the team and someone like tuchel , like poch, perhaps like the Watford manager who have talent and look to make a team winning rather than not losing if that makes sense?

Granted I'd want ancelotti first choice but I realise he wouldn't come here so tuchel represents the alternative, someone who does demand everything from his team aka his stint before Dortmund.

Any manager is a gamble, who you have pretty much sums up where you aim to be. Koeman was signed for 6th / 7th and was never meant to push us on. I don't think anyone saw him taking us backwards so fast though.

I don't think he's that bad. Our current situation is more a failing of our recruitment setup than him personally IMO.
