Just out of interest mate. Why would you be against Dyce? I know he's not exactly the high-profile manager out there, but he's a modest, shrewd, stubborn old bugger who'll set his team out to keep it tight and hard to beat. No doubt, he'll have a 'psycho' side to him too and sort out one or two ego's within your side.

You've tried the continental, much-travelled, high-profile name that is Koeman - Maybe Dyce would be a new direction? His Burnley side are annoying to play against as they're techinally one of the worst teams in the Premiership (if you go through their team player-by-player) but they're well drilled, tough, disciplined and we'll organised. If he could employ that to Everton, along with 2 or 3 good signings, could see you kicking on.

From football pre-shows about him he seems to have a great relationship with players and will back them all, regardless how well or poor they perform. I'm just wondering, if that could re-ignite Rooney, or re-open the door to Barkley.

Sorry if I seem outspoken. I know, for a big club like Everton, Sean Dyce isn't exactly a 'jump out of your seat in delight' type - Just think he could surprise a few people. I know it would be a huge step-up from bloody Burnley, which comes with a risk.

Secondly, him staying in the job means we get one of these threads after pretty much every game, which, unlike our team, are quite fun to watch.

I've already done it with the away games, jibbed off watching them and just watching U23 away games. Trust me you'll feel a whole lot better and you can see an Everton team who are organised, well drilled, play good football and win

It means we will be out of 2 more cups and ruled ourselves out of Europe next year. What's the point waiting till Christmas. Why would we give another dozen games? This is not turning itself round.

I'd really like us to still be in a couple of cups and be fighting for Europe come Christmas. Not looking over my shoulder at the bottom 5 or 6 and out of 2 out of 3 trophy chances.

Honestly mate, it's because it's not looking up as an appointment. Essentially we signed a championship manager in moyes, a manager who took a team down in Martinez and a manager in koeman who didn't have the biggest cv for success.

I have seen this manager bringing in the best of the players below us for the past year and now we are down there where they come from. Only 8 games in but we can't even beat Brighton, that is how bad we are right now.

The reason why I would rubbish dyche is not down to his ability, it's because he is a gamble and a low key one at that. Dyche gas done a fantastic job making Burnley a solid mid table outfit who stay up every year. But that's it, he has won nothing of note and we would hire him based on the what if factor. I want a manager who you can look at and expect us to do well. One that sets the bar high and actually gives a damn when the team doesn't play well. As a blue I can't remember the last time a manager cared about losing, or the last time the board cared. I don't expect us to bring in a top coach by any stretch but I want one who demands success from his team. Koeman isn't arsed, Martinez wasn't wasn't, moyes wasn't arsed really. We have walked off that pitch today and there is not one ounce of embarrassment from the team or manager, same as 2 seasons ago. It would be nice to walk off from a draw with Brighton and know the manager is fuming at them and the fans can feel gutted, except very few fans are.

Bit of a ramble so apologies for that. I just want the club to show ambition and if it's not a successful manager then one that essentially has experience getting the best out of his team, dyche for all accounts isn't that man.

Amazing numbers though, even more decisive than Martinez who was generally at 65-70% out at his worst moments.

Martinez got cut more slack because he outperformed in his first season whereas Koeman put us back to where most of us think is a reasonable place.

Apart from that, I think because there's been one recent sacking many now look on it as the right thing to do, and will have no patience with any manager. If Koeman was replaced tomorrow, then his successor would, as soon as he went through a bad patch, be under much the same pressure some time next season. Basically we've become of those clubs.

Koeman not being likeable doesn't help. Doubtless if things don't improve, he will get sacked, but replacing him is no guarantee of a medium to long term improvement.

Completely agree, we're going out the Europa and league cup if he doesn't get sacked. The idea is to win trophies so he should go right now. Never understood the argument last season for not sacking Martinez before the semi final for the same reason.
