They say you get what you deserve. Well we certainly don't deserve success judging by some of the absolute tripe in this thread.

All we need now is for Phil Neville to sign up and post "it's a wonderful achievement for a small club like everton to avoid relegation "

Juts out of interest what do you think the club should have achieved during that time?

taking city and chelski out of the equation how many clubs fans are completely happy with there new investors?. kenwright has made mistakes, hiring Enstone was a massive one, but he has kept the club stable and he has found us a owner who will kick us on and make us great, you can see we are begining to ruffle a few feathers in the prem already. Saying he should have got a new investor in earlier? like who ? billionaires don't grow on trees and most don't like throwing their money at loss making sports enterprises. Be careful what you wish for we could be owned by the venky's or some out to make profit using debt like liverpool and utd.

Found proper investment about 7-10 years earlier and won at least one trophy.

Well I am sure we would all want that but it wasnt meant to be was it. Name another club who in that time got that investment and pushed on any higher than us? City had the ground as a major selling point by the way.

As for winning a trophy, well we were in a position to win at least one but our manager and players crapped themselves on the big occasion as per usual.

We all want the dream. Reality means it doesnt happen though. We still could have been in a lot worse position couldnt we?

Could so easily have been us if we'd got the Kings Dock. Step forward top blue Bill...

No because its incredibly boring.

Are we still in existence?

Did we get relegated?

Did we consistently finish "best of the rest"

Did he stick by his manager for 11 years when other clubs may have pulled the plug?

Did he generally always give the manager any cash that was made through sales?

Did we totally reinvent the off the field side of the club to the point where we are looked at as the model to attain to in terms of being a thoroughly likable club who tends to do the right thing?

Did he keep ticket prices competitive so as to not screw over the fans, of which he is one of them?

Now dont get me wrong, he has his flaws, the ground move was a fiasco that nobody seemingly wanted anyway and some of the stuff he comes out with is a bit cheesy. We have hardly been big spenders either but during that time we always paid decent wages enabling us to keep our better players and we didnt plunge further into debt which is seemingly what some fans wanted to happen just so we could "push on" from 6th to 5th or whatever.

He has done fine. Not great, but nowhere near the disaster that the plane banner flying brigade claim.

Top bloke is Bill. Stitch it haters.

You're crediting our existence to Blue Bill now? I think you ended you're argument in a record amount of characters.

Try again

Yeah maybe, it didnt happen though did it? Yet we still carried on and stuck around the top end of the table.

We cant always get what we want. You dont stamp your feet and bake a cake over it, you get on with it.

Where on earth are you getting that from?

An overreaction again like acting like Kenwright is the worst chairman ever when he is far from it.

Well he's the worst Everton chairman ever and has made a lot of money out of offering very little.

Simple if you can't comprehend this then there's nothing down for you

Not really, if finding investment is that easy for a club at our level why havent any others managed to do? Plenty of other sides over the last 7-10 years have been looking but not found it, and some have even proper killed themelves off taking risks, as far as being a not just a top 10 Premier League side but a side simply playing in the top level of football, Blackburn, Villa, Leeds, Pompy for example, they tried all kinds but got nowhere. Because we had Kenwright we didnt have to worry about going the same way those sides did, dont recall too many last day of the season games to stay up since he took charge?

As for winning a pot, yes you can buy them but you can also fluke them as many sides have done such as Wigan, taking it for granted that we should of won one is silly, no one should automatically expect to win anything.

The reason we looked stupid when previously buying players was because we couldn't actually afford the players we were trying to attract i.e. we were trying to pay over stupid periods of time and conditions. When we signed Fellaini on deadline day do you really think he was our no1 target!!!! no!!! but the fee was a reported club record 15million plus fee. it would actually shock you if you seen how it was paid, I remember someone telling me in the alex young suite. I can't actually recall exactly but it was 5 million up front another 5 million over 5 years and the last 5 million was if we won any silverware!!! Thats why a lot of deals went pear shaped because clubs wouldn't deal with our terms

How blinkered are some fans, thats why if i only had the money that Kenwright has I wouldn't go anywhere near the club!!! The man is true fan who has done everything on very small finances compared to 90% of other premier league chairman. I remember reading an article somewhere that he had the least personal wealth out of every club owner in the top 2 divisions!!! constantly lending money of his robbing jewish mate Phillip Green. Green charges kenwright interest on all of loans he lends off him!!!!
