Been doing some thinking D/D/MN/TXB/WT/N.

I know that some things were put on the ban list, rightfully so as they god melted up the max, but would it be possible to take politics off the leash?

Its a big mad now but we used to have some boss debates on here ages ago, with lots of sensible posters contributing. We've gone a little soccer am-ish now but I miss those well put together, thought out threads.

If anyone acted a tit then they could be banned.

Its just an electronic football forum like.

Anyway, chew it over.

The titty lip is out again (y)

She took my milk like. Bad form.

if she'd stopped there danny i wouldnt be going on about her 30 years later. as i progressed through my life danny her crazy ideas impacted on my age group at every turn, never once in a positive way i should add.

we've got a party on hold around here, everything will stop and the party will commence with many jigs of joy.

local industry closed when i left school.
had to go on a yts for £26 a week as the chance of an apprenticeship had gone.
when i got an apprenticeship, at the end of it she sold the nations ordnance factories to british aerospace for a quid, who promptly closed the one i was at and gave the work to bae factories, all to pay for her 'conflict'.
totaly ignored the manufacturing industry in the country, meaning that i ended up having to go to the other side of the world to find work.
if i hadnt had to scour the planet i would be almost mortgage free by now, as it is it took me years to be even able to afford to get a mortgage, i couldve got a council house but oh, she instigated a policy of selling them to people on the basis that they'd lived in them for 5 years.......although the govt. had been paying their rent in all that time.

i know some did alright from her but i'm deffo not one of them, i couldnt afford to buy shares as she asset stripped the nation, i wasnt one of her yuppies in a shirt and tie. i was one of the ones trying to stand on the rug as she was pulling it from under me.

I had, and still having all the problems you had there.

Finished school with 16 decent grade GCSE's, could I find an apprentice after finishing school? No chance.

So went and done A Levels. Decent grades again, could I find a decent apprentice? Nope.

Went to Uni, where this government charged me £20 odd grand, (£10,000 just to go, then add £55 quid a month interest) for deciding not to sit on the dole. I am now having to go abroad asap to find work/property.

Sort of the same for my wife and I. We were both made redundant from a few jobs during the worst of the 80's. We didn't go abroad, but we had to move away from home to find work. We'll stay here now until retirement, then we'll come home.

I share your sentiments mate.

she stood and accepted the nations applause after the falklands, she can have the criticism for the other stuff.

every bomb dropped since 1989 has cost the nation a fortune as we used to make our own, now we pay private companies to arm our forces.
she did arm saddam hussein up to the teeth as well btw.

Yes but life isn't something that's handed to you on a plate. There aren't many decent jobs where I grew up either, hence why I've moved to London.

Every child in this country has thousands upon thousands of hours of 'free' education. That's a tremendous gift. If you take advantage of that gift and gain a good education then I'm fairly certain that you won't be hard up for work for very long. If you don't take advantage of it then I don't see that it's really fair to blame the prime minister at the time.

I don't like much of what Gordon Brown does, but ultimately where my life is concerned, the buck stops at me.
