6 + 2 Point Deductions

People with legal experience on these matters are basically saying we don’t have a chance arguing the finances on the appeal. Our best chance of getting “some” points back is going down the road of the sanctions being too harsh.

They started proceedings against City in 2018, years before an Independent regulator was even dreamt of.

They are punishing Everton because we have admitted breaching PSR. The same with Forest.

The clubs who have heeded the rules around PSR haven't been charged.

The Fan led review (which what started it all) began in 2019 after Bury folded in 2018/19.

There's always been a push for an independent regulator. The PL knew something was happening especially after UeFa banned City from the champions league. They had to do something.

And again, you miss the point of the post to fit your bizarre agenda to hammer home we deserve 10 points and more rather than looking at the wider picture and accept the status quo as it is. You're on par with those "Broke the rules, cheats, deserved" gang

What I've put will be enough not to have an independent regulator. City will get off. And no other club will receive a punishment like ours.

Probably take it to the CAS, but you’re looking at years down the line. At which point we’d probably be relegated so it would be pointless.
Don’t think we can go to CAS, according to the PL procedures this appeal is the final appeal. That said, if we feel the PL have acted unlawfully or against principles of natural justice there’s always a recourse to the courts if necessary.

This is why the city date has not been released imo.

We will be kicked into oblivion … the rules will change in the summer and city will be “ punished” under those rules .. and guess what? They won’t be anywhere near as harsh
If City are found guilty they will be relegated and criminal procedings will follow. I'm honestly not sure why some of you think we are part of the cartel. We are very much on the outside and their main target.

So, we are going to go through this season with this thing hanging over our head, not knowing if they we will get back points, have more points deducted, stay in the PL or be relegated.

Should be a fun season.
The prem need to wait to see how many points we actually end up with so they can deduct enough points to relegate us. They thought 10 would be enough but we made those up quickly. So here we go again!

To be fair would you be happy with most of you're players sold, what quality football would you be prepared to watch ? I know we've been on the whole crap, but we could have been a whole lot worse and easily could have went down, without them players. We are being conditioned to going down, with unfair, self centered rules that are set for the top 6 cartel, that most teams haven't a hope to stay within, unless they sell most of their stars to the cartel. The rich get richer and stronger, the poor get poorer and weaker. Where is the competition? What is the point of trying to compete with you're hands tied behind you're back.
The problem is that there are far too many clubs (or club owners) that are just happy to toe the line and stay in the league to pick up the financial rewards. If the fans of clubs such as Brighton et al are happy with that then the owners get away with it.

Hello pal, hope you’re well. On a scale of 1 to 10 how would you rate your judgement on the game of football?

I think bringing back the Saturday afternoon pre-match protests is probably a good idea. Loud but always peaceful.

And it should be every game, not just one game or two.

As much as I disagree with a lot of the media reporting on this. And I blame them for a lot of bias in football these days. But they will report on those protests if they happen again. They did it before last season, so would do it again.
Fully agree. But the dog needs to be carried again too, every time.

This is a non-starter. You’re effectively asking the PL to prevent morons from owning clubs. Apart from the fact that this would be highly discriminatory towards morons, how would the PL have possibly known that Moshiri would turn out to be a moron?

The PL would have had no chance considering 90% of this very forum, who you would consider reasonably knowledgeable blues, were up Moshiri's hoop until as recently as last year.

Those of us who warned what he was were tarred with being idiots, RS or Bill Kenwright luvvies.

The majority on here were more bothered about boasting how rich we were rather than thinking about it for a minute.

How have we had a significant sporting advantage from weakening our squad significantly over the last 5 years, from having one of the lowest spends of the last 5 years, and from getting into financial trouble due to building a stadium?

The argument doesn't add up. There's no credibility to it. How would you even quantify it.
Overspending does give a sporting advantage in theory. It enables the club to put more resource into recruiting players and paying them more than a rival. The fact that the players signed made our team worse is neither here or there. It is on the club if they sign dross.

The voting in the Moshiri thread has been 90% against for the last few years, so please refrain from talking crap.

That's always been the case I think. We can't argue the finances on appeal. We appeal the punishment.
