I remember 'defender' Paul Warhurst going on a mad run of scoring bags of goals for Sheffield Wednesday one season.

Think he got a big money move and reverted to rubbish / back in defence.

Probably a one-game wonder mate. Apart from the derby he scored in back in 1997, I can't recall many games he shined in.

Think he went on a run of something like 6 goals in 7 games and there was talk of England call up then he never scored again and vanished.

wouldn't be having ron vlaar as a one season wonder.

I'd nominate Papiss Cisse, the only issue being that he did it for two one half's of a season back to back so maybe he doesn't count. But he looked like one of the best strikers in the world, eveyrthing he touched turned to gold, but i knew most of those hits were flukes and it was only a purple patch otherwise he'd have achieved something better with his career.
