But peanuts gets done over for a slip up so why not hibs.

Bet there was some arse kicking in that dressing room. I wonder which arses were kicked.

Behave Rob.

Defensively, Jags was more at fault than Hibbert.

If an Arsenal winger had picked up the ball and drilled it in and Hibbert was central, then by all means you can point your finger at Hibbert.

But as someone on Kipper said, for Jags to not be goalside of their striker in the final minute is criminal.

Fantastic finish, but definitely not Hibberts fault.

I have to question the bringing on of Anichebe.

With 5 min or so to go and holding onto a 1 goal lead, Moyes should've had Yobo, Castillo or Rodwell on to shore things up and run down the clock.

Hang on Danny. Tony Hibbert is a right back, that's a defensive job first and foremost. Now if Pienaar has lost the ball on the left side, the ball has come from the left side to the right side, to wear Hibbert is supposed to be (in the last ******* minute against Arsenal and Van Persie), but on the replay there we can see Jags getting pulled wide to fill in and not quite getting there, and Hibbert trying to get back but around 10 paces too late.

Sorry, to me that says Hibbert is out of position, again, and is not performing his defensive duties in the last minute when we need to defend a lead.

Its a 4 man defence, not 3.

Not picking on him, but if anything that clip shows his lack of positioning.

Yeah he was caught out of position, but if your going to blame us defensively for the goal, you equally have to look at Jagielka.

As it happens, I dont fault us there defensively. It was just a damn good strike from on his day, a world class player.

I do fault needlessly giving the ball away though, in the final minute.

How can you blame Jags the same as Hibbert? Jags was covering and he got beaten by a very good player, I'm sure when you have a back 4 line - Hibbert should have been there with the other three, but he wasn't. He was miles away.

I don't blame Jags at all, Pienaar and Hibbert were being stupid in the last minute of an important game. Simple as that.

Because without analysing the game - Jagielkas man was Van Persie. No other attacking player was near Jagielka other than Van Persie. Guess who gets the ball, gets goalside of Jagielka and slams it in?

While browsing forums I am not alone;

osman have awful performance today (again...), he was worst than pienaar, so leave steve alone mates.
our defence (jags?) was failed to cover van persie :/

In my opinion there were 3 reasons why we handed them a point :

1. Pienaar ridiculous ball to Anichebe
2. Jagielka getting caught out of position - the guy has been amazing for us but its criminal not be goal-side in the 93rd minute

But as I said, that happens. Thats football. Just good play from Van Persie, but it led from poor play from Pienaar.

Ok, do we play Man Marking? or Zonal? I thought we played Zonal. So if that being the case, Hibbert was still left chasing. Mind you, if Carsley was still playing, he would have been 10 yards off Hibbert. ;)

Hibbert imo, should of had Van Persie or at least been covering.

He was running like a ******* clown up pitch for some reason?

Steven P played very well. Seeing it again, it was actually unlucky the way he gave the ball away. Mikel was clearly unfit and still played pretty well. If we had someone better than Ossie out wide we would be really, really good.

he was, too many knee jerk reactions.

Same people who wouldnt dare look at golden boy Mikel for going missing for 90 minutes.

Arteta doesnt have to do anything, him just being an the pitch is enough. :D

No, but i think thats pretty harsh, Mikel didnt have 1 of his better games, but i would hardly say he went missing. If you wanna talk about missing men, i think you should look more towards Ossie.
