Forgive me for saying this mate, because you sound like quite a decent chap, but Ive heard so much JARG this summer im not believing this for a second. Not because I think its unrealistic, plus I have a proper man-crush on Landon because of how boss hes been in his two stints with us, but I am now committing to not getting excited until the deal is done.

I think hed be brilliant for us. and with Ste' Pi on the left and Donovan on the right, I see a balance to the side that we havent had in years... I just think that theres two many ITKs on the internet, who are about as In the know as the guy who writes the rumours in the Daily Star and The Daily Mail !

Misread your post mate

players are a lot fitter these days and he could quite easlier go on to 34. Look at Distin, Scholes, Giggs etc. Also better to have him for 4 years, then loose him again in 2 years

Players who don't rely on pace also last longer... Teddy Sheringham is one that comes to mind... plus the others you mention

Mate you can absolutely think whatever you like but if you think at my age I make stuff ip to impress people I've never nor while ever see you'd be wrong but I do however understand the scepticism of people. I'll also say if you think in the whole workd of football agents, players, managers , coaches and executives nobody knows anybody ese who follows a particular club that also sounds a bit fanciful as well.

agreed. Sources can be found within the local boozer pre-match who are legit, The Everton kit-man goes the hermitage pre home games and I get bits and drabs from him, I bet you he tells his family and friends stuff as well which gets passed on, the legit info is around you just have to pay attention to who it's actually from before getting carried away with it.

Top 4 of what?

of the League we enter in every year...whereby 7th actually the top position.

So essentially im predicting 7th 8th 9th or 10th in Barclays Premier League.

Seriously ijjy, do you not think we have an outside chance of a cheeky top 4 place? I would have agreed that its extremely unlikely until I saw Newcastle and Tottenham do so well last year. They both have top players, but so do we, even without the Donovan signing.

Oh ye of little faith

Im a believer!

Neither of them had a manager who started the season in January.

As it happens I disagree (but i dont know) with what Youve heard but I don't doubt people genuinely hear stuff and I've no reason to think you'd make things up and like I say what I've heard isn't definitive as its frankly a rumour. I think a good example is foxy's posts about Yobo gone & Heitinga possibly following , that was (in my opinion ) clearly passed to him by somebody in the club and it was wrong not because Bluefox was wrong but because the club didn't have a clue. His info (as always) was genuine but I knew it was Wrong because of some of the people involved I had more idea what was going on than everton which it's frankly a sad indictment of the club.

This is the problem witn signing players with no resale value, but to be honest recken Pienaar will last 4 years but we wont be able to sell him so we have to find his replacement, but we need pienaar in our team so we have no choice, and yes most of us would still want Donavan/Dempseywho is also the same age and the same issues, but Donavan/Dempsey and pienaar could help us with cups and get into europem which can earn the club money

would love to see to see this team, But we nearly have Pienaar, recken we could do a deal with Donavan but the rs are after dempsey so we have a very small chance of signing him.

Coleman.........Jags.........Johnny...........Baines

...Donavan.........................................Pienaar.............

I completely understand that. And like I said, you seem a decent guy whos passing on information youve heard and not claiming it to be your own inside scoop.

its a shame really, I used to love the summer transfer window and all the rumours/transfers

Now i just see it as an opportunity for jarg to be spilt out over every decent forum (like this) or social network sites.

i tell you what, im going to believe you that Donovan is the next priority. And if it comes off, ill buy you a pint before a game at GP.

Deal?

You'll never fully understand what's going on, but at least having people that hear solid info from inside the club, makes things clearer for the Evertonian public, then what the club would let on.

I think Moyes knows we have a few talented youngsters coming through the ranks that can replace our older players over the next three or four years.
For now we need to move on to the next level and possibly a cup which needs older more experienced players.
Pienaar is a talent and makes us tick now!
The future will look after itself
