Are the club playing hardball coz we know he only wants to come here?

Did we not negotiate a sell-on or buyback clause when we sold him last Jan? maybe we are trying to leverage any kind of agreement against our own buy-back and they aren't having it? prob way off and we were to inept to even have that kind of foresight....

Accepted as the norm now it would seem all this palavar and the Yobo Farce , shouldn't be though (media , local especially should be tearing into them) , .. a Complete joke the people running Everton

Probably yes - and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. For all the criticism of this summer's transfer window (and I am not saying there should not be any) surely it's the same people employed by the club trying to sort out these deals that managed to pull it off in the previous window - for example acquiring Jelavic the way we did.

I still think we will sign Pienaar when the TV money is due in next week. Why borrow and have to pay interest for the sake of a few days. If Yobo had have gone as expected, it would have probably have happened by now. Pienaar is probably aware of this anyway and happy to wait, whilst we all panic!

Breaks my heart this

i think Rangers were in a much financially weaker position than spurs will ever be, but here's hoping.

I like your positivity!

Problem is if they do that then the local media gets banned from attending press conferences and Finch Farm, as happened to the Echo when they last published an article critical of the board.

We've already borrowed against the TV money, we've probably borrowed against next years TV money. I doubt we are waiting for it.
