A brave defence of the board, ganistuk but Sheedy and Foxy have laid it out.

Money from the TV deal..hehehehehehe

Not saying they're wrong mate - like most, I only know what I read and it seems they're both far better placed to make such judgements - just saying as someone who negotiates the odd contract or so myself (not football related unfortunately) that there is often a fine line between success and failure when trying to strike a deal. Admittedly though, a club of our stature (and the levels of money we're talking about) should be employing the kind of people who are capable of delivering more success than failure though.

On this point we are in total aggreement. i would have Bill kenwright removed from ALL player transactions forthwith today and give it to the CEO or bring in a new executive team who can execute.

Far be it from me to defend Bill Kenwright or the board ,but I do think that there is a danger that this forum is going Kipperseque in it's hysteria.
So far this summer we have signed Stephen Naismith,it would appear as if we will re-sign Stephen Pienaar at some stage. The talk of losing our better players has subsided and quite probably may have been nothing more than paper talk.Tim Cahill leaving was a wrench for everybody, but I think it makes sense for all concerned as Tim Cahill playing a peripheral role in our team would not be a nice way for him to finish his Everton career.
The sale of Yobo appears to have been messed up,but the window is still open and he hasn't as yet been replaced at Fenerbache.
Let's wait and see what happens in the next four or five weeks.
If we can add Pienaar and not lose any other player then we have a very good squad facing into next season.

Seven players sold/moved on this year and by all accounts the club were trying to sell Johhny behind his back.

Naismith is not official yet, Yobo and Pienarr are stuck in no mans land, and theonly bit of money coming our way is gone already.

Man U in a couple of weeks, 2 wingers down from the end of last season.

Yep the Prozac is kicking in.
