Heard from a few unreliable sources that were after Defoe + Pienaar for 9.5 mil. Not bad but if we had 9.5 million, i dont want it spent on two 30 yr olds.

Yeah I see what you mean, but players have not played that much lately so they must be full of energy.

Always found Defoe to be a dangerous striker, and he would definately force us to keep the ball on the deck.

Yep. If Defoe was going to leave i'd expect he'd want to be a guaranteed starter. He won't get that with us.

He always strikes me as the sort of striker who will never leave London. Could see him at somewhere like QPR to be honest or even a return to the 'ammers!
