I haven't read all 80 odd pages so not sure if this has been said before, but does anyone think the delay might be down to Pienaar waiting to see what is happening with Bainesy and not money? I'm not so sure he'd be that keen to come if Leighton is going. Old Whiskey Nose is on record saying he will be bringing at least one more possibly two to Old Trafford before season starts.

I think Midnitemike raises a decent point there, does everton's ambitions etc come in to it? Possibly it does. Speaking fro a purely football point of view the greatest asset of Peanuts is he is quality but can play on either flank, as can Osman, Gueye and Naismith. I think if you add in Coleman and Barkley, anichebe (horses for courses) as attacking options Everton have some decent options. You then throw in Cahill, Fellani, Rodwell, Gibson etc to control the middle of the park and for me the midfield looks strong. Plus there is still the unknown quantity of a few of the younger lads like Junior to come through.

I still believe there will be an out if there are to be more ins...but at least this window feels fair less frustrating than others!
