So long as the ONLY places where one can buy Everton gear are Everton One, Everton Two, and online, I can't see how much money their is to be made in the States. You will need LD/CD/TH Everton shirts on the racks at Sports Authority, Dick's, Modell's and countless other regional chains. Right now, all these stores sell international kits, as well as one's from Man U, Barca and a few others. The same would be true for all the soccer specialty shops, which are all over the place, and sell kits from a ton of teams, but not ever from us, due to the Kitbag deal. No one other than a handful of diehards (like me) will ever go out of their way to buy from the OS.

Signing two 30 year olds wouldnt be that great a business...throw Pineaar in...that 3 30 years olds to go with Distin, Neville, Cahill, Osman, Hibbert...

Would be one or the other IMO and not both.

Yeah they would be great in our squad as they are now but they not very long-term (for us or re-sell value) so they could represent poor business despite both being great players.

Yup. But for a club at the moment who has to sell players to buy and keep the club running, it'll be poor long term as we'd have to hope it would all pan out (Europe, selling the club lol, silverware etc)The idea or selling a Rodwell (22) and a Barkley (18) to fund 3 30 year olds is almost business suicide as Rodwell and Barkley will give you 20 years of football together, with resale value...the others at a push who will get worse than better as the years go on.

Landon Donovan+Tim Howard+Clint Dempsey = every everton game is on either espn or Fox Soccer in the states, massive Everton US tour in the summer of 2013 and potentially interest from American investors

Plus, I go to the same university Dempsey went to so it would be ace if he played for my royal blue everton!

Just watched pienarr interview if that ain't loyalty then what is if he stays at spurs now I don't think he is going to be happy redknapp should see this and do the right thing

Good post. Chicken and egg scenario. We'd never get the rack space without Americans or by winning the league or the CL. However, I have no faith in the current management team to be able to pull that off. That would take actual work trying to break this market. Maybe Robert Green can actually do something to help the club besides going on "Morning Joe. You'd like to think he would have the connections to get that done. The ROI would be there in my opinion.

We forgot he turn down a contract for more money?

Neiler thinks Pienaar and Rooney are snides but loves Bill Kenwright. Proper Evertonian is our Bill.

Anyway, he clearly needs to come back.

I had a look through. Some gold on there - Tubey's "he only had 1 good season" Lots of "Baines made him look good" and Mouts belter of a reply post saying anyone who follows Kenwright is a kopite.

Good times.

Still has a cloud over his head for me arle Pienaar.

Its not about rack space. Doesn't Kitbag have a contractual monopoly on the sale of our stuff? Please, someone in the know confirm this. As presently termed, we can't put shirts on racks anywhere in the world, no matter the demand or the desire to do so.
