Im really disapointed by this not the fact that hes offski, personaly i dont think hes worth all the attention and wont be heard of again in a serious sense after Everton.

But its sad to see an esteemed player at our club hawking himself around, dancing for the highest bidder, i want him gone now - running the good name of the club through the mud.

Pure gold.

More money, the chance to play in the Champions league with better players.

He made a mistake, sometimes we only realise how much we'll miss something when it's gone and that was clearly the case with him and Everton, for both parties.

Oh I understand why...I'm just not buying the old "come home, he loves us etc" I think he got a bit too greedy, turned down Chelsea to go to Spurs, it didnt work out, now he wants to move back.

No romance etc in it. He was always looking for a move in that final year, had a gash World Cup, no one was interested, so he ran the contract down and didnt sign a new one where we offered £60k+ a week (pull me up if Im wrong) and moved on when 2 champions league clubs came in.

Always said he's a smashing player and I'd have him back if the price is right. But his stock to me as a fan went down now that he's almost begging to come back.

True. Only thing i can think of is that you use those players in a short term attempt to get into the champions league in the next 2-3 years therefor giving you more money to be able to replace them with better younger players than you would of been able to do before.

Risky if true though of course.

He asked for far less than Arteta was on after being more influential than Arteta, and he didn't get it.

Pienaar's clearly not a perfect role model or shining beacon of righteousness, but the 'money grabber' labels lack full context I think. He left for reasons beyond that.

Kenwright making a push for the CL?

I think we're more likely to see him push out triplets.

HAHAHA

Page 21 onwards. Some beauties.

And ironically damon was saying about 481 times a day how we only started playing well this season when Pienaar returned and we could never play good successful football without him.

What a clown/troll.

I'm with Rufsu on this one, Pienaar left for what he thought was better things, it didn't work out that way and he now knows he was wrong.

Actually i should of expanded that to winning a trophy as well and that its Moyes choice to take that transfer route.

He still wants that trophy to fill his cv and ego and would be willing to do short term business to help him do that even if it harms us long term.

Cause he'll be off next summer anyway.

oh I agree, dunno moyes' view on it if he thought he deserved more though or that we flat out couldn't afford it. But I'm of the mind that he's made his bed he should lie in it.

Comes back, won't begrudge it...I just won't be getting in with the love in.

He's on a long term contract and we want -- nay, NEED -- him. That gives Spuds a lot of power, surely?

I sense we're going to be disappointed one way or another. Be that via us not signing him, or us re-signing him -- 18 months older -- for more than Spurs paid.

Nah . They may even lose Bale but jes LOST Pienaar already Kid . Hel NEVER get hat yday down there . NEVER . Wev equalled-near the dough . Artetas gone . He KNOWS this . They want his wages plus the fee . Tara , Id suggest ..

They may try , but his Agent , erstwhile Shobgite bay be our Trump Card here as it goes...
