if you were a manger giving a team talk last season to your club who were about to face Everton
whos name would be mention most at set pieaces or watch for late runs or dangerman

Cahill or Anichebe i will leave it up to you to decide.

On last seasons form, neither should be at the club and I stick by that.

The difference is that Cahill gave us seven years of top class performances before then and so he'll rightly be thought of in nothing but glowing terms.

I would rather we give a local lad a chance. I rate pienar very highly but why should a 30 year old jeorpadise the chances of a young, local lad playing for the team he's supported for most of his life?

Yet people on here want £25 million, for a left back not even 18 months younger !!!!

but sure pabbers Baines is a top class player, could you ever see Anichebe been link to a move to a top 4 side
you will in your arse more like Luton town fcuking hell................it wouldn't matter if Baines was 40 he still
would get a bigger move than Victor

To be fair to him, the comparison was with Pienaar not Vic. He said that if 4.5mil is steep for Pienaar than surely 25mil for Baines is also steep.

Its different though. Spurs want Pienaar gone, Pienaar also wants to go. Everton want Baines to stay and Baines himself wants to stay. Cant compare it.

You kind of answered your own question there, mate.

Listen I love Cahill but he's not the player he was, he's not capable of doing what he did best in his prime, holding onto him would be a mistake.

my point was Cahill had his worse season last seaon yet Anichebe only had 3 goals more

think hes on about pienaar mate, the fee is 4.5 mil. nothing to do with vic. we wouldnt even get £10 for vic

But he gave the reason why Pienaar is a rip off, as "he's getting on a a bit"!

Spurs know, we are desperate for Pienaar. More so than United are for Baines.

Also Baines is the best left back in the league...Pienaar isn't the best in his position

And my point was that Anichebe is a much worse player and yet scored three more goals than Cahill in less games and playing the same role (second striker). He's a legend but he never recovered from that foot injury he got with Australia and last year he was actively holding us back when we played him. Even bloody Anichebe did more for us this season which is a sad state of affairs for anyone.

Head over heart, it was time to get rid.

no victor wudnt be linked with a top 4 team but how many players out of our squad of 20+ would bar jags baines felli jealvic thats 5 throw in rodwell and barkley just cos their young and english just cos vic wudnt be linked with a top 4 team dosnt make him a bad player

We need Pienaar, £1 Million or £5 million. He is class.

When he was last with us, imagine he was in the middle of a 4 year contract.....what would we want for him ??

and going on our unrealistic valuations of players, im guessing £10 million minimum!!!

Lets just look at the value of a players ability, and we are getting a bargain!
