Player Valuation: £8m
Hey folks.

Is Steven P. THAT good acquisition to our beloved club ? I'm not sure. At 2,5 mill quid his a bargain. Should we just buy him from from B.D and sell him with profit ??

I wouldn't be that bothered if we missed out on him, I would prefer someone with a bit more presence about them. I'm sure we should be able to attract someone better, hopefully Bill will have some cash for the summer.

I would much prefer us to sign Manny before Pinnear

We have to sign him, maybe hes not the best midfielder ever, but hes definitely a step up. Hes creative, can pass and works hard

I could have sworn that was what my parrot was telling me the other day...

"Pienaar want a contract, Pienaar want a contract, sqwauuuuuuuuk"

Here we go again, we have to play hardball and have reputedly offered £2m not 2.5m for Pienaar. :dodgy:

Pienaars an ok player...few decent passes thats it. Offers little else...hence why he failed in the Bundesliga and virtually nobody but us is interested in him. For 2.5million id take him however in saying that i still think hes slightly out of his depth in the Premiership. Manny is a far superior player...although has been ordinary for us since re-signing.

While agree that Manny is a technically better player, I would be made up if we got both. Who is leading in assists for the team this season? That would be Pienaar. He has set-up quite a few goals directly and indirectly through his clever play.

He is an asset and should be signed up, but he is not irreplacable. Nobody is, but as things stand, he would be a great permanent addition to the squad.

Still think we should sign Manny though, hopefully with him signed he can settle and continue his recent improvment.

btw, whats the deal with Manny. Is there a similar situation to the Pienaar saga with him? (i.e. we have first priority to sign him)

it was on radio city this morning that the fee has gone through to Dortmind and that he will sign in 48hours.
