Pienaar - how much

From how he's played, theres no way Moyes will not sign him or leave it to risk that he didnt come to the club.

It will be made permanent, and what a bargain. He's impressed me a great deal this year and is important to the team.

We are not blind, neither Moyes is and we could all tell he is a great player and fit right into our game, so 2.5M is cheap man is not as though we have to dish out 12M to sign a player, we could afford this one!

i remember reading the 2.5mill fixed fee, it makes sense to do it towards the end of the loan, simply because the interest that would accumulate on that fee over the season might as well stay with us, than go to Dortmund. also as stated before the longer we secure him for the better so we might as well take the year we have him for, then add 5 to it, good times. In saying that there is still the fear that somehow this could go wrong to but surely the club won't let that happen:o , the guy has been great for us.

i can remember reading pienaar is on loan with an option to buy for 2.5 million.

that means if we want him thats all we will have to pay.

thats a total bargain imo.

I think I posted that on here a while back - I remember reading it way back when we signed him, but cant for the life of me find a source for it any more.

Seems to be business common sense though, why would you take an out of favour player and wait until AFTER you've improved his form before agreeing a price?

bit of diggin came up with

Pienaar as a player in terms of style is very rare and unique in todays game. He plays wide left midfield but his game is not winger like. He is very much a link player. Similar to the likes of Thomas Rosicky, Rafael Van der Vaart, Wesley Sneijder and Zinidine Zidane. He main attributes are his short range passing, awareness, movement, energy and tremendous work rate. All these attributes have contributes to Everton's six wins and a draw in the last seven games. With a reported 2 million pound fee for Steven Pienaar's signature David Moyes will have to think fast and sign or it could be to late.
