Can't find the right words, so the video speaks for itself

Everton 0-3 Wigan
ha ha curveball effort. I can't deny it has shades of typical Everton in it. Falling at the easiest/near final hurdle. That's Everton, that.

I chose my vid for the pure, unbridled swirling mess of snide fury that accompanied a win-against-the-odds. I wish Everton for me truly represented Nil Satis and The School of Science (I know for some lucky older folk it does. Lucky, lucky people) and it's undoubtedly an ideal I demand Everton strive for, and there's nothing I love more than good football, but there's something about the fight that is in all Evertonians.
We all know it's there. I'll tell you what summed it up well, that last victory against Man City. It was infinitely more satisfying, infinitely more inspiring, infinitely more Everton - to me - that we went down to 10 and just wanted it more, throwing ourselves into tackles we had no right to win and winning them, the crowd snarling all game the ref getting a relentless earful and the City players terrified to approach the touchline for fear of coming too close to the baying mob. You feel them wins in your bones.

It doesn't mean you don't aspire to, or exhibit, great quality... it's just that the crowd aspires to an Everton team that exhbits the most desire. Like when Jurgen Klopp said the stat he is proudest of after any Dortmund game is the distance run. He wants the mileage of his players to always exceed the opposition. He demands that they always want it more. That's why I went for Big Dunc vs United. Martin Tyler says it best.
"You don't have to imagine the atmosphere now, just take it in"

Loved the Stracq. His performance in (funnily enough) the win over Man City the previous year was a thing of beauty, or rather it was anything but! Though that's why we loved him. He gave everything for the cause. We want to feel like we inspire the players, and what greater endorsement was there than Stracq? He was a man who was inspired by Goodison and by Everton. He was in awe of us. In modern football how could you fail to be cheered by that?
