Pick a previous player....

I really wish we had prime Dave Watson - a REAL captain who was hard-as-nails, a nasty mouthpiece that made Stevie Laar look like Penfold, a man who was familiar with silverware and the spirit needed to lift it, and had the ability to marshal the squad when all appeared lost.

In short, what we need now!

Think we could probably find a decent keeper if we looked hard enough so feel like it makes sense to pick the kind of player that's rare nowadays. So that'd be any player who loved the club and didn't know when they were beaten. Of the players I've seen Reid, Bracewell, Watson and Parkinson stand out for that quality but anyone who did see him said Alan Ball had all that determination plus non stop energy and would have got into any team on skill levels alone. So I'm gonna trust wiser heads and put him in. Although tough decision who to leave out.

Duncan McKenzie instead of Kone

(Actually, pretty much any 10/false 10 we've had over the years to replace Kone - although Lukaku seems to get on with him judging by their weird post goal celebrations.)

Most of you will not know just how good Bally was, we need a leader.
However, for the purposes of this thread step forward the greatest goalkeeper of all times, Neville Southall
