Pick a previous player....

There are many individual past players who, at their peak, would improve this team.
If forced to limit the choice to one, it's easy -.

Step forward Neville Southall.

You not have a telly where you live?

If, and I'll admit it's a humungously massive if, WR were to return, playing for his boyhood team again would be the perfect incentive and meat injection he needs to return to his best or as near as damn it. Don't forget, he's playing in a team of crap with an idiot of a manager - if he came back to the Blues, he'd be joining a team with bags of talent and potential, and a manager who would encourage him to play as we all know he can play.
It's unlikely to happen I grant you that, but I'd have him back.

So who do you drop?

If you could pick one ex Everton player (at their Everton peak) to play in this side now who would it be? Not necessarily the best Everton player ever but who would fit into this side, take it on to the next level and possiblythe title?
On that basis , he's not my favourite player, nowhere near being the best that season but we could certainly do now with the sheer effervescence, energy and goals he gave to our team towards the latter end of the 69/70 season - Alan Whittle.

Alan Ball, Dave Watson Neville Southall address our three biggest issues. Goal scoring creativity in midfield combined with the drive to keep us pressing and win the ball back. Proper defending aerial threat. A real top class keeper at his peak.
If I was actually forced into a corner I would say for pure talent Allan Ball. To actually make one change that would bring the best out of the remaining 10..... Big Nev. it would be interesting to see how his ability to command the area would actually allow our current defence to develop.
