What are you photgraphing, a bridge camera will be no good for those close up intimate shots!!

Truly they are not bad but the sensor is not as good as in a DSLR and neither is the ISO performance and the auto focussing system does not compare ether. However dedcent DSLRs are a lot more expensive and for which one would really need a range of lenses.

Chico you will find it more than adequate for holiday snaps and the odd zoom in shot of a female body at the pool or on the beach!!

Nice one Mr Jarvis, I sort of gathered that a DSLR is the way forward ultimately but while I'm still struggling to develop far from point and shoot it's a waste of money as you mentioned.

With the bridge camera I can start stepping it up a bit and learning photography at a basic level, as a pastime. Plus the portability of it means it can always be in my backpack when I'm out and about, I'll link you some albums when Im used to it mate.

Try taking pics of trains.

Thanks mate, much appreciated. Any type in particular?

Just thought on, my man McB could be a super help on this.

Looks a decent camera and a very good price mate.

Expecting some Boss/Pish Random Adventures photo threads soon!

Who is into it? I've just invested (in reality got wrecked and ordered online) in one of them bridge type camera things, namely this one:

Obviously I'm automatic shots all over the show but are any of you cats any good at this and want to shout a few pointers.

I won't be photographing trains.

I like it . Feel as if I could be David - input ACTUAL SURNAME - Bailey for the 2010-20's .

Just haven't gotten around to it , yet .

I DO however , WORSHIP the Magnum Photographers of the 1930's / 40's / etc , .. Capa , Cartier - Bresson , Schwimmin , Your One ; Capa's Bird , ...

Truly groundbreaking , thought provoking , downright shocking , but , most of all , ... ART .

L.C.A.B. - Out .

I could do a thread of what I wake up with on my camera phone, my latest was a photo of a building that I reckoned looks like my mate's Dad. I tried to email it to him.

Pleased the camera seems alright, I'll be ready to rock n roll* soon.

Wasn't a brick [Poor language removed]-house was it?!!

Nah, it had verandas that looked like eyebrows and something which looked like his muzzy. I'll try and get a photo for you next time I'm that state pal.

Any tips or articles you can throw this way to help me photograph things boss would be appreciated sport.

Keep your eyes open, sometimes something bland can be interesting photographically...errr...test out your settings by taking the same shots at different light levels, you'll start to understand the speed of your lense when you do this....ummmm....make sure your subjects are front-lit (unless your going for that silhouetted look), and watch your exposure levels from shadows, there should be a setting on when you look at you pictures that will show how high and low your exposures are....watch out for blur when taking hand held shots in low light, that wicked shot you took will look naff when you put it on your PC....Any quezzies mate, fire away
