Maybe so.

But for me (emphasis on "me") after Phil Jagielka, he's been one of our top players this year. Arteta really came on and was in spectacular form until his injury and Baines hasn't let go of the left back spot yet. Pienaar has been very good and Lescott, after a not so great start is back.

But Phil for me has been one of our more consistent performers this year. He's probably had a few howlers but I can't remember any mistakes he's made this year that have led to an opposition goal.

He's been a very good professional for us.

Neville has been good for us. Saying its all Arteta is a poor excuse for the Neville haters. The last 2 performances shouldve proved you wrong.

He was solid at right back at the start of the season, and hasnt had many if any below average performances this season. He is suitable for the starting 11. Who else are you gonna play HB, Jacobsen? Maybe Castillo?!

See my post above dom. The only other player we have is Rodwell and he is too young at this stage. Got nothing to do with Neville being anything special, he is simply the only one

Neville is very much a player you dont notice until he is absent, then you reallise how important he is to the squad. Very much akin to Lee Carsley, who was also an unsung hero.

Oh i hate that term!

I will concede, he has been good for Phil, but not great in terms of what we want/need

Well I'm guessing that technically, we could upgrade at every position on the pitch except for the issue of money.

It's got me to thinking that if we had 20M to spend, where would we spend it first? Would it be at DM (and potentially moving Phil to RB)?

Possibly but I'm guessing that Moyes is going to keep him on the pitch somewhere, either at the DM or RB position until he retires.

He simply isnt Bill. He wouldnt get in a top 4 sides squad never mind be captain and in the 1st 11 every week

However did we convince United to part with 1 of there stars who was always in the 1st 11......oh wait he wasnt

Not what you said is it. He played around a bout 25-30 games a season for a very sucessful Man U side.

So he was blatantly good enough to get in not only a top 4 teams squad but to play 25-30 games a season for the most succesful English side of the last 20 years.

It does not clear it up. I need names, or dont you know who you like?? (y)

He dislikes any member of the squad which has anything to do with United. Likes Cahill and Arteta, and thinks Yobo is king. And he dislikes Baines, still not entirely sure on the reason, my guess is he used to support Liverpool...but then again so did Osman

I could name a few for you right now:

HB's Likes:

1) Yobo
2) Saha
3) Lescott
4) Pienaar
5) Arteta

HB's Dislikes:

1) Baines
2) Howard
3) Jags
4) Neville

I'm sure I've left out an obvious one though. (y)

Well 1st he wouldnt be in my 11.

I would take my chances on him at full back....if i had too but would prefer both positions strengthened and Neville not in the side
