Had a great season, I had reservations about him in midfield but he is making me think again. One more thing bad players don't play for Fergie as many times as Pip did
I would say it was more down to Arteta in the middle rather than Pip doing anything. He has played better this season because he has kept it simple, but he is playing better by Pip standards and still is nowhere near good enough for our 1st 11

He simply isnt Bill. He wouldnt get in a top 4 sides squad never mind be captain and in the 1st 11 every week

Where'd we buy him from?
Sure he is.
I won't argue about playing his position for one of the top three, but for Everton, he's made that position his own this year.
I agree that it has made a huge difference having Arteta next to him but give credit to Moyes for making the decision to move Arteta to the middle.
Everything changed for the better once those two were paired together in the middle of the park.
However did we convince United to part with 1 of there stars who was always in the 1st 11......oh wait he wasnt
I would say that was more down to the spaniard more than Neville, even today he struggled until he got someone who could play football alongside him.
So if your admitting he wouldnt be good enough for a top 3 side, why is that good enough for us?
Because he has been good for us.
I think everyone would admit on here that in the past few years, when we'd see Neville's name penciled in at DM, we'd all moan and say "Oh no" because it clearly didn't work for him next to Carsley.
However I think this year, we'd all be concerned if he wasn't penciled in at that position from the get go.
