I agree with you but today his attitude and performance were top notch and worthy of a captain.

not saying he didn't mate, i thought he was okay and no more though, but he isn't a captain, sometimes a captain needs to be a dissenting voice, maybe things would not have got this far had he done his job better, too much of the nodding dog about him to wear the armband

Yeah long term we need a proper leader in that role, another Ratcliffe.

tbf I don't think he really 'lost' the ball, it was a great little poke there. no time to really react and Martial was through on goal.

He put in a superb performance for 90 minutes and then played his part in an absolute mess of a goal in injury time.

Probably just watched Gibson, McCarthy and Deulofeu stand there and thought I've got to come out and win this. And didn't leaving a massive hole.

Genuinely looked like the players completely disregarded what the Manager and his staff had to say and played for themselves, the fans and the Club.

Love Jagielka me, say it every other page, but he has been criminally underrated by everyone, including Everton fans. He was nowhere near fit and was still absolutely brilliant.
