Ace at getting a foot in,nicking it and setting up another attack wasn't he Groucho?I'd still have him.
Although not the same player at all, Gana reminds me of him, loosely.

To be fair as I said he was in decline by then and we expected to be still winning or challenging for the title. The same people who were giving him a hard time idolised him in his prime and certainly still do now. Watching football is an emotive experience ,of the moment and you will always utter shouts which after a moments quiet contemplation may seem harsh. I mean I don't think every referee is utterly corrupt or lacking a father though to be fair many do resemble a ladies private parts. That was the context yes. But it was never justified and those who hounded him from the terraces are hopefully suitably contrite now.
Everyone from that 80s side are like gods to me , even Richo and Harper , I can't put into words the joy they gave me . When I've met players today , I don't get over fussed but if I have had the chance to meet those idols , I still get star struck . If I had it my way and we had the space , I'd build a statue to everyone of them . Only hope that all those young blues get just a bit of what we experienced. Magical days .To be fair as I said he was in decline by then and we expected to be still winning or challenging for the title. Yep a fit Reidy always bossed Robson, Whiteside, McMahon, Hoddle etc. Him with Brace really were a great centre midfield not seen the likes since in blue shorts. Only Scholes and Keane compare imo.He was simply ace. Who would you rather have had at the time? Nobody.
I'd still have him.

Probably would be getting the same abuse that James McCarthy is receiving in these days of keyboard warriors.
